Call to Order 6:31 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: o (Cassette Tape No. 1) Councilmembers Garbarino, Gonzalez and Matsumoto, Mayor Pro Tem Fernekes and Mayor Green Absent: None Public Comments None. Tour of Police Department - Equipment Police Chief Raffaelli escorted Council members to the Police Department for a demonstration of the "wrap" restraint system. (Recess: 6:49 pm - 7:00 p.m.) Public Hearing: Joint City Council/Redevelopment Agency public hearing regarding proposed amendments to the redevelopment plans for the Downtown/Central, E1 Camino Corridor, Gateway and U.S. Steel/Shearwater redevelopment project areas to: fiscally merge the four project areas, add territory to the Downtown/Central Project Area, and extend the time limit for the exercise of eminent domain within the Downtown/Central Project Area and the original E1 Camino Corridor Project Area (approve resolutions, and waive reading and introduce an ordinance) The joint public hearing was opened and closed concurrently with the Redevelopment Agency. Refer to Redevelopment Agency minutes for public statements. Hearing no objections from Agency/Council, Mayor Green stated that the Agency/ Council will take under advisement the fiscal merger and plan amendments, and all oral and written public testimony. With concurrence from Agency/Council, he stated the joint meeting is continued to May 11, 2005 and directed staff to prepare written findings in response to written objections for consideration at the May 11 meeting. 6.
