ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmembers Addiego and Nagales, Vice
Mayor Garbarino and Mayor Matsumoto

City Manager Futrell stated that applicant Jeff Lang withdrew from consideration.
PUBLIC COMMENTS - comments are limited to items on the Special Meeting __ agenda.

ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS
Report regarding Large Business interviews and appointments to the General Plan
Community Advisory Committee. (Marian Lee, Assistant City Manager)
Principal Planner, Tony Rozzi presented the report and stated that the General Plan Advisory Committee
would consist of 12 members, pending appointment of two additional members.
a. Interview Applicants for General Plan Community Advisory Committee:
5:30 p.m.: Sophie Martin
5:40 p.m.: Courtney McCrane
5:50 p.m.: John Skerry
6:00 p.m.: Jeff Lang — Withdrew from consideration
Councilmembers interviewed applicants Martin, McCrane, and Skerry.
b. Discussion and consideration of appointment of applicant to the General Plan Community
Advisory Committee. Council may appoint two (2) Large Business Member applicants to a
term expiring December 17, 2020.
Applicants: Martin, McCrane, Skerry, Lang.
Motion— Councilman Addiego/Second—Vice Mayor Garbarino to appoint applicant John Skerry to the
General Plan Community Advisory Committee as Large Business Representative for a two- year term.
Approved by the following roll call vote: YES: Councilmember Addiego, Councilmember Nagales, Vice
Mayor Garbarino and Mayor Matsumoto; NAYS: None; ABSTAIN: None; ABSENT: Councilmember
Nicolas.
Council could not reach a consensus on the selection of the second member for the General Plan
Community Advisory Committee and directed staff to postpone appointment to the Regular Council
meeting of April 10, 2019 allowing Councilmember Nicolas to interview applicants and vote on the
matter. Staff would coordinate a phone interview with applicants Martin and McCrane and
Councilmember Nicolas.
