Mayor Matsumoto called the special meeting to order noting that four Councilmembers were in
attendance.
Roll Call.
PRESENT: Councilmembers Nagales and Nicolas,
Vice Mayor Garbarino and Mayor Matsumoto
ABSENT: Councilmember Addiego
Agenda Review. None
Public Comments. None.
PRESENTATIONS
1. Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct Prevention Training (AB 1825/AB 2053). (Leah
Lockhart, Human Resources Director and Camille Hamilton Pating, Meyers Nave)
Human Resources Director Lockhart welcomed all participants and introduced Camille Hamilton Pating,
Meyers Nave. Ms. Pating presented the AB 1825 and AB 2053 Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct
Prevention Training reviewing topics such as identifying discriminatory harassment and abusive conduct,
bullying and the #MeToo movement. Assembly Bill 1825 requires that employers of five or more
employees shall provide at least two hours of classroom or interactive training to all supervisory
employees and at least one hour of classroom or interactive training sexual harassment training to all
nonsupervisory employees every two years.
ADJOURNMENT
Being no further business, Mayor Matsumoto adjourned the meeting at 6:00 p.m.
