Addiego Zoning Administrator William Costanzo MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of July 9, 1974 Commissioner Teglia stated that on page 3308, paragraph 3, in motion regarding Sutter Hill Development, the following item should be added. "The cost of legal advertisements and mailing of notifications should be at the developers" expense." Commissioner Slade moved that the minutes of the regular meeting of the South San Francisco Planning Commission of July 9, 1974 be approved with above corrections. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Teglia and was passed by the following roll call vote: AYES: Vice-Chairman Hale, Commissioners Slade, Teglia and Chairman Mathewson NOES: None ABSENT: Commissioners Lazzari, Mullin and Raffaelli ABSTAINED: None ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING TAPE RECORDING OF MEETING Chairman Mathewson announced that this meeting of the South San Francisco Planning Commission would be recorded on tape, but that anyone who wished to come before the Commission to be heard, but who objected to having his or her voice recorded in this manner, could request the Chairman to order the tape recorder turned "off" for the duration of the time that he or she is speaking or is heard. July 23, 1974 Appointment of New City Planner, David C. Hale, as Secretary to the Planning Commission. vyCommissioner Teglia moved that the new City Planner, David C. Hale, be appointed as Secretary to the Planning Commission. The motion was seconded by Vice-Chairman Hale and was passed unanimously by those who were present. UP-275 UP-275, request of the City of South San Francisco to permit the extension of Eucalyptus Avenue from Park Way to Stonegate Drive. At the conclusion of its consideration Commissioner Teglia moved that the Planning Commission table the item and the staff to take traffic count in this vicinity during the school session and also on a rainy day when the school is in session. Vice-Chairman Hale seconded the motion and was passed unanimously by those who were present. UP-282 UP-282, request from Anthony and Patricia Cruz for the construction of a room addition located at 3649 Baldwin Court in the P.C. Zone District. Mayfair Daly City, CA July 23" 1974 Discussion: After some discussion Commissioner Slade moved to approve UP-282 with the conditions as set forth in the staff report with additional condition stating that "no drainage to be diverted to adj acent properties". Vice-Chairman Hale seconded the motion, which was passed unanimously by those who were present. PM-103 (MODIFIED) PM-I03 (Modified) ,request from Thomas Callan for resubdivision of 33.514 acre parcel, located at the northwest corner of Gellert Blvd. at Westborough Blvd., into one 1.702 acre parcel and one 31.812 acre parcel Secretary Hale read the findings and recommendation of the staff report into the record. Proponents: 1. Thomas Callan 2 . Randy Hall 2645 Ocean Avenue San Francisco, CA Opponents: None After some discussion Commissioner Slade moved, seconded by Commissioner Teglia that PM-103 be approved with the conditions as set forth in the staff report. The motion was passed unanimously by those who were present. PM-12l PM-12l, request from R. Diodatii.. for resubdivision of two (2) existing 4.5 acre + parcels into three (3) acre parcels. Located on Littlefield Avenue between Lawrence Avenue and Utah- Avenue. Secretary Hale read the findings and recommendatiomof the staff report into the record. Proponents: Richard Diodati 3140 Canyon Road Burlingame, CA (The applicant) Opponents: None Discussion: Planning Commission suggested to include 20' strip at rear of the property. Applicant informed that 20' strip is in different ownership hence he could not include in each parcel. -3312- July 23, 1974 Commissioner Slade moved, seconded by Vice-Chairman Hale that PM-121 be approved with the conditions as set forth in the staff report. The motion was passed unanimously by those who were present. REPORTS 1. Joint Meeting with City Council Secretary Hale stated that this item is to give the Commission advance information so that in the next Planning Commission meeting the agenda for joint meeting can be discussed. 2. Resolution commending Charles Lewis for his outstanding services as Chairman of Architectural Committee. (Resolution No. 2147) 3. Resolution commending George Nakada for his outstanding services as member of the Architectural Committee. (Resolution No. 2148) 4. Resolution commending Neal Martin for his outstanding services as City Planner and Secretary of the Planning Commission. (~esolution No. 2149) Commissioner Slade moved that all the above resolutions be adopted and that a copy of the resolution be sent to the respective members. The motion was seconded by Vice-Chairman Hale and was passed unanimously by those who were present. Chairman Mathewson stated that three Planning Commissioners were unable to attend tonights meeting, but the absentee Planning Commissioners initiated and agreed for above resolutions making adoption of above resolutions unanimous. GOOD AND WELFARE Bill Costanzo informed the Commission that a prospective developer would like to build a building for keepjilng birds for quarantine purposes near Starli te Industrial Subdivision. He is seeking th.e Planning Commission opinion whether a Use Permit is needed or not. Staff and Planning Commission unanimously agreed that a Use Permit should be required and normal procedure followed. There being nothing further to be considered under Good and Welfare, and no further communications or other matters of interest for the Commission, Chairman Mathewson announced the next regular meeting of Planning Commission would be held on August 13, 1974 at 8:00 p.m. in the West Orange Library Auditorium.
