*Councilman Addiego arrived at 6:05 p.m.
Staff present: City Manager Nagel, City Attorney Mattas,
Assistant City Manager Van Duyn, Assistant
to the City Manager Kennedy, Police Chief
Raffaelli, Human Resources Director Yamani,
Public Works Director White, and Finance
Director Steele
Others present: Mr. Bill Kroske, Alnerican Traffic Solutions,
and Mr. John Bartel, Bartel Associates

Public Comments
None.
4. Study Session
a. Red light photo enforcement
Staff report presented by Chief Raffaelli.
Mr. Kroske gave a visual presentation of ATS's photo traffic enforcement systeln, how
the systeln will work in South San Francisco, and stated that locations will be
determined after A TS conducts an evaluation. (Informational packets were distributed
to Council.)
Councihnembers were receptive to the program and direction was given to staff to
move forward with the process.
b. New accounting ruling on post retirement health benefits and actuarial study results for
South San Francisco
Staff report presented by Finance Director Steele.
Mr. Bartel reviewed the actuarial results contained in the staff report and responded to
Council questions.
City Manager Nagel asked that this infonnation be referred to the budget subcOlnmittee
for consideration and recomlnendation.
5. Adjournment
Being no further business, Mayor Fernekes adjourned the Ineeting at 7:55 p.ln.
