it is your turn.
Please note that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this meeting is teleconference only, and will be conducted
pursuant to the provisions of the Governor’s Executive Order N29-20 issued on March 17, 2020 allowing for
deviation of teleconference rules required by the Brown Act and pursuant to the Order of the Health Officer of
San Mateo County dated March 31, 2020.

PARKING PLACE COMMISSION
CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5:09 p.m. by Chairperson
Monzon
ROLL CALL
Present: Hermes Monzon, Chairperson
Dana Abarca, Commissioner
Absent: Jolene Malfatti, Vice Chairperson
City Staff: Christopher Espiritu, Secretary of the Parking Place
Commission
Adena Friedman, Principal Planner
AGENDA REVIEW: No changes
PUBLIC COMMENT: None received through email or voicemail or during the meeting.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES:
Regular Meeting Minutes of the Parking Place Commission June 14, 2022
Motion – Chair Monzon / Second Commissioner Abarca– to approve the
minutes as submitted. Approved by voice vote (2-0-1). Vice Chairperson Malfatti
was absent.
ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS
2. Update on Meeting Procedures and Schedule (INFORMATIONAL)
- Secretary to the Commission Espiritu introduced the item from a previous
meeting regarding a proposal to move the Parking Place Commission meetings
from a monthly occurrence to a quarterly occurrence.
- The Commission requested more time to consider, since all members of the
Commission were not present. Item shall be added to the next Parking Place
Commission meeting agenda.
ITEMS FROM THE COMMISSION

- Chair Monzon is inquiring about the following items:
o Revenue reports for parking meters and the garage from Public Works.
o An update on Parklets
o Is Lot 18 occupied by permit holders?
o Street parking in front of the new 150 Airport Boulevard development is
occupied by vehicles, possibly by tenants without turnover.
Chairperson Monzon adjourned the meeting at 5:20 p.m.
