Under Oral Communications, at the beginning of the meeting, persons wishing to speak on any subject not on the Agenda will have 3 minutes to discuss their item. The Clerk will read the name and type of application to be heard in the order in which it appears on the Agenda. A staff person will then explain the proposal. The first person allowed to speak will be the applicant, followed by persons in favor of the application. Then persons who oppose the project or who wish to ask questions will have their turn. If you wish to speak, please fill out a card (which is available near the entrance door) and give it, as soon as possible, to the Clerk at the front of the room. When it is your turn, she will announce your name for the record. Lindenville Specific Plan - BPAC Update (Billy Gross, Principal Planner) • BPAC Members received the presentation regarding the Lindenville Specific Plan and provided comments to staff. • Next steps for the Specific Plan are presentations at various other City Commissions and consideration at Planning Commission and City Council ACTION: Informational: None taken, none required COMMITTEE COMMENTS • None. We were happy to learn that many of these students had just arrived to South City with their family, having immigrated from different parts of the world. Luckily our team made up of several bilingual speakers were able to accommodate many of the language barriers! At a glance 12 Sunshine Gardens Elementary Friday, May 12th 13 Total number of students served: 62 Total number of volunteers: 16 Students were crowded at the “Glam” station signing and decorating each others helmets and bikes! We came up with this idea to give students the opportunity to customize their bikes and were overjoyed to see how much they fun they were having! At a glance 14 Los Cerritos Elementary Monday, May 15th 15 Total number of students served: 68 Total number of volunteers: 15 Despite being our largest distribution, our wonderful team of volunteers were more than up to the task! Many of those who had donated their time had participated at more than one event and by the third time around they were ready to handle any hiccups! At a glance 16 Martin Elementary Monday, May 22nd 17 Total number of students served: 59 Total number of volunteers: 52 Partnerships within our community are important to us, that is why we were more than happy to be able to host our largest group of volunteers yet! Shoutout to the SEPTERNA team for providing us with over 30 volunteers! At a glance 18 Spruce Elementary Friday, May 26th 19 Total number of students served: 56 Total number of volunteers: 14 Despite having our lowest turnout of volunteers yet we did not falter! With already 4 events under our belt and a team of experienced volunteers our last distribution was a phenomenal success and even received media coverage!
