3. Public Con1n1ents - comments were limited to items on the Special Meeting Agenda.
None.
4. Continuation of interviews of applicants for the Conference Center Authority Hotel
Representative Positions.
Rudy Ortiz.
Council interviewed Mr. Oliiz.
Recess: 6:54 p.ln.
Meeting Resulned: 9:31 p.ln.
5. Discussion and appointInent of applicants to the Conference Center Authority Hotel
Representative Positions.
After discussion, Council voted by ballot Yielding the following result:
Rudy Oliiz and Jiln McGuire were selected to fill the term expirations on the Conference
Center Authority in the Hotel Representative Positions.
6. Motion- Mayor Pro Tem Matsumoto/Second- Counciln1an Garbarino: to approve the
following n10tions: a. n10tion to reappoint Jin1 Metz and Fil da Cunha to the Conference
Center Authority Business or Resident Representative Positions for respective te1111S to
expire March 27, 2011; b. n10tion to reappoint Rudy Ortiz and to appoint Jin1 McGuire to
the Conference Center Authority Hotel Representative Positions for respective tel1ns to
expire March 27, 2011; c. n10tion to appoint Mark Nagales to the Parks and Recreation
Con1n1ission to con1plete the tern1 vacated by Mr. Gonzalez through Decelnber 31, 2008;
d. n10tion to appoint Kelly J. Teglia and Charlene Looper to the Cultural Arts
Con1lnission; e. n10tion to appoint Tony M. .lara to the Housing Authority to cOlnplete the
tel1n vacated by Mrs. Oborne through March 31, 2009; f. n10tion to reappoint Buenaflor
Nicolas to the Housing Authority for a tern1 to expire March 31, 2012; g. Inotion to
appoint Tan1my Lin Wong to the Housing Authority Tenant COlnlnissioner Position
through March 31, 2010; h. n10tion to appoint Richard Holt to the Historic Preservation
COlnn1ission to cOlnplete the term vacated by Mr. D'Angelo through Decelnber 31, 2010.
Unanin10usly approved by voice vote.

Being no further business, Mayor Gonzalez adjourned the lneeting at 9:37 p.m.
