Called to Order: 6:07 p.m.
Roll Call:
Present: Councilmen Garbarino, Gonzalez
and Mullin, Vice Mayor Addiego,
and Mayor Matsumoto.
Absent: None.
1. Public Comments -comments were limited to items on the Special Meeting Agenda.
None.
2. Council interviewed applicants for vacancies on the Housing Authority Commission as
follows: John C. Baker, Tony Jara, Nancy Stampfer, Carolyn Reardon, and Efrain
"Frank" Roman.
3. Discussion/appointment of applicants to Commissioner seats on the Housing Authority
Commission.
After discussion, Council voted by ballot which yielded. the following results: John Baker
was appointed to fill the seat vacated by Flor Nicolas; Tony Jara and Nancy Stampfer were
reappointed to full terms on the Housing Authority Commission.
Motion -Councilman Garbarino/Second -Councilman Mullin: to appoint John Baker to a
partial term on the Housing Authority Commission to expire March 31, 2012 and to
reappoint Tony Jara and Nancy Stampfer to the Housing Authority Commission for full terms
to expire March 31, 2013. Unanimously approved by voice vote.
4. Discussion appointment of applicant to Tenant Commissioner seat on the Housing
Authority Commission.
After discussion, Carolyn Reardon was reappointed to a. full term as a Housing Authority
Tenant Commissioner.
Motion -Vice Mayor Addiego/Second -Councilman Gonzalez: to reappoint Carolyn
Reardon to a full term as a Tenant Commissioner to expire March 31, 20:1 1. Unanimously
approved by voice vote.
Prior to adjourning, the City Council requested that staff agendize streamlining the selection
process for Boards and Commissions for the first City Council meeting in April.
5. Adjournment of Special City Council Meeting.
Being no further business, Mayor Matsumoto adjourned the meeting at 6:53 p.m.
