HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 122-1996RESOLUTION NO. 122-96 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ADOPTING REPORT OF ANNUAL SEWER RENTALS AND CHARGES FOR 1996-97 PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 14.12 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, by Chapter 14.12 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code, sewer rentals and charges are required to be assessed on the City tax rolls and collected with the regular municipal taxes; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly called and held on July 10, 1996, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., in the Community Room of the Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, California to consider any protests and/or modifications of the report prior to adoption hereof. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of South San Francisco that: 1. The sewer rentals and charges filed with the City Clerk contained in the Report of Sewer Rental Charges for 1996-97, in accordance with Chapter 14.12 of the Municipal Code, as submitted by the Director of Finance, are hereby adopted, and the rentals and charges will be assessed on the City tax rolls and collected with the regular municipal taxes. Pursuant to Chapter 14.12 of the Municipal Code, the rentals shall constitute a lien upon the respective parcels of real property in the City of South San Francisco. 2. The City Clerk shall cause a copy of this resolution to be published within fifteen (15) days after passage in the San Mateo Times, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, and shall further certify to the County Tax Collector or auditor that the report was adopted by the Council. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24th day of July , 1996 by the following vote: AYES: Counc.ilmembers Joseph Al Fernekes, Eugene R. Adp EXHIBIT TO RESOLUTION NO. 122-96 REPORT OF SEWER RENTALS AND CHARGES FOR 1996-97 IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 14.12 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE In accor~ce with Chapter 14.21 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code, the following report prepared as of July 1, 1996 is submitted. The report describes the procedure of charging those parcels of real property which directly receive the benefits of municipal sanitary sewer services and the amount of the annual charge or rental which will be imposed against each parcel for fiscal year 1996-97. Summary of Rental or Charges. The following is a summary of the annual rental or charges for 1996-97. All commercial and industrial'properties All residential properties, except those serviced by the West. borough County Water District Billed by Statement Total $2,903,717 $2,073,041 $ 84.778 $5,061,536 e Sewer Rental Account File. This report refers to and incorporates by reference the report entitled "Rate Determination and Revenue Program Summary,' prepared by and on file at the City of South San Francisco Water Quality Control Plant. The report summarizes the 19~6-97 sewer rental charge that will be proposed to the City Council on July 10, 1997. Upon adoption of the proposed charges, or amendments thereto, a report entitled "City of South San Francisco Sanitary Sewer Charges," prepared by Engineering Data Services, Los Altos, California, will be completed, The report will describe by Assessor's Parcel Number each parcel of real property receiving directly the benefits of municipal sanitary sewer service and the amount of annual charge or rental imposed against each parcel for fiscal year 1996.97. All of these documents, including this report shall be filed with the County Tax Collector or Auditor. Accompanying the filing of this report shall be the Clerk's endorsement that the report has been duly adopted by the City Council. Michael E.
