CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT
OF PATRICIA MARTEL AS INTERIM CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, the City Manager has accepted a job with the City of
Hayward; and
WHEREAS, he will be leaving the City as of February 1, 1993;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has decided to conduct a recruitment
for a new City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint an interim City
Manager for the period beginning February 1, 1993 and ending upon
a new City Manager assuming the position with the City; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to express its confidence in the
ability of the current Assistant City Manager to capably serve as
Interim City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco resolves as follows:
1. i Effective February 2, 1993, Patricia Martel is appointed
Interim ~ity Manager.
2. ! The term of this appointment shall be from February 2,
1993 through the date a permanent City Manager assumes the position
with thelCity.
3. ! The Interim City Manager shall assume all of the duties
and functions of the City Manager as provided in the City's
Ordinances and Resolutions.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a requ]ar meeting held on the 27th day of
Janua~ , 1993 by the following vote:
