1. Call to Order. Time: 6:39 p.rn.
2. Roll Call. Present: Councilmembers Addiego, Gonzalez
and Matsumoto, Vice Mayor
Garbarino and Mayor Mullin.
Absent: None.
3. Agenda Review.
None.
4. Public Comments - comments were limited to items on the Special Meeting
Agenda.
None.
5. Closed Session: Conference with Legal Counsel
(Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a).)
Existing Litigation: Baykeeper v. City of South San Francisco.
Closed Session began: 6:41 p.m
Open Session resumed: 7:05 p.m.
At Mayor Mullin's request, City Attorney Mattas reported out of Closed Session and advised that
by a four (Mullin, Garbarino, Gonzalez and Matsumoto) to one (Addiego) vote Council approved
a final consent decree with Baykeeper. The terms of the decree require the City to implement
additional programs to minimize potential sewer overflows and institute a sewer lateral program.
Residents will also be able to apply to the City for a grant covering half the cost of certain sewer
improvements. Additional terms included certain goals relating to decreasing sewer spills.
6. Adjournment.
Being no further business, Mayor Mullin adjourned the meeting at 7:06 p.m.
