CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION IN MEMORY OF
PRIVATE FIRST CLASS TONY A. BAKER
WHEREAS, Tony Baker in defense of this nation and the
cause of peace and freedom throughout the world lost his life
in the Vietnam struggl~ and
WHEREAS, the members of the City Council share with
his family and friends the sorrow caused by his loss and are
moved to a deep respect and admiration for his service to
this nation;
NOW, THEREFORE, the members of the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco do hereby express sympathy to
the family of Tony Baker and do record this resolution and
the following excerpt from a speech by President John F.
Kennedy on October 26, 1963, in respectful memory of Tony
Baker, "A nation reveals itself not only by the men it
produces but also by the men it honors, the men it remembers."
