RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION
TO CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO OF "UNINHABITED
TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED

AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING
OF PROTESTS THERETO
BE iT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of South San
Francisco:
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by
owners of not lass than one-fourth of -.he la,,~ in the here-
inafter described territory, by area amd by a~&u~sed value
as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County
of San Marco, was filed with the Council of the City of
South San Francisco on August..20, 1958 ,
requesting annexaK:on of the narc~,,~~=----.~- desc~-'~bed terri-
tory to said City.
2. That the territory which ~che pet~g~on~rs request
be annexed to the City ov South San Francisco and which said
City and its Council propose 'C.o ann=x, ~.~,. ~l'c~ued in the
County of San ¥--~eo, $=aue of California, hereby de&kgnated

and described as follows:
As set forth in Exhibit "A"
3. That the Local Agency Formation Commission, County of
San Marco, State of California, by Resolution No. 186, adopted
the 17th day of July, 1968, approved the annexation of said
territory hereinafter described.
4. That November4, 1968 ,
at the hour o~ 8:00 F.M., inthe Council Chambers in the City
Hall in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo,
California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and
where any person owning real property within the uninhabited
territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the
City of South San Francisco, and having any objections to the
proposed annexation, may appear before th,~ Council of the
City of South San Francisco and show cause why such uninhabited
territory should not be so annexed to 6he City of South San
Francisco. The protest must be in writing, may be filed at
any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the
proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the
owner or owners of property affected and zhe description and
area of such property, in general terms.
5. The City Clerk of the City of So'~th San Francisco
is hereby authorized and directed to caus~ a copy of this
resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than
once a week, in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general
circulation published in said City of Souzh San Francisco,
the city to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid terri-
tory, and also in the Advance Star
a newspaper of general circulation published outside the City
of South San Francisco, but in the County of San Mateo, California,
the county in which is located the territory proposed' to be
annexed to the City of South San Francisco, said publication
to be completed at least twenty (20) days prior .to the date
set for hearing.
6. The said City Clerk is further authorized and directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation
to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory
proposed to be annexed was assessed in t~ last equalized
county assessment roll available on the date the above said
proceedings were initiated, at the addresses shown on said
assessment roll or known to said Clerk, and to any.person
who has filed his name and address and tke designation of
the lands in which he has an interest, either legal or equi-
table, with said Clerk, such notice to be given not less than
twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the pro-
posed annexation.

7. The City Clerk. is authorized and directed to trans-
mit.~or .cause to be transmitted a copy of :he resolution to
the governing board of each school distri:t which in part,
or in whole, .is included in the territory sought to be in-
cluded in the city, and which has made wr£tten request
therefor.
8. The said City Clerk is further a'~thorized and di-
rected to cause written notice of such proposed annexation
to be mailed to each person to whom land within the terri-
tory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equal-
ized assessment roll available on the date the proceedings
were initiated, at the address shown on assessment roll or
as known to said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his
name and address and the designation of the lands in which
he has any interest, either legal or equiuable, with said
Clerk.
9. In the event any land within the territory proposed
to be annexed is owned by a county, the C~ty Clerk is di-
rected to cause written notice of such proposed annexation
to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such county,
such notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days be-
fore the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
10. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to
be annexed to said City, a structural imprbvement owned, be-
ing acquired or leased by a county fire protection district,
the City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such
proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing body of
such district, such notice to be sent not less than twenty
(20) days before the first hearing upon s~ch proposed annex-
scion.
11. The City Clerk is directed to c&use written notice
to be given to such other persons as may be lesally entitled
thereto, in .the manner required by law.

All that real property in the County of San Mateo, State of

Reco'rder of San Marco County on May 9, 1941 in Book 23 of Maps at

305.00 feet to a point in the center lire of "B" Street (now known
