A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL
HAS JURISDICTION TO PROCEED WITH THE ISSUANCE
OF SEWER REVENUE BONDS
SOUTH AIRPORT BOULEVARD AREA
' SEWER PROJECT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco, California, as follows:
WHEREAS, on December 16, 1968~ the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco adopted its Resolution No. 5004
of intention to Issue Sewer Revenue 'Bonds in the amount of
$130,000 (which resolution was subsequently amended to provide
for $150,000) to provide moneys for the cost of the acquisi-
tion and construction of sanitary sewer mains, manholes, and
appurtenances and a new pump station, all as more particularly
described therein, fixing Monday, the 20th day of January,
1969, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., City Hall, South
San Francisco, California, as the time and place when and
where persons interested might appear before the City Council
and be heard as to any protests or objections they might have
against the acquisition and construction of 'the proposed works
and the issuance and sale of revenue bonds therefor;
WHEREAS, a copy of said Resolution was published twice
in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper published and circulated
in said City, the second of which publications was at least ten
days before the day set for hearing;
WHEREAS, copies of said Resolution headed "Notice of Sewer
Work" in letters one inch in height, have been posted at least
ten days before the time set for hearing at not less than 300
feet in distance apart and not less than three in all, along
the entire length of South Airport Boulevard within said City,
said street being the street designated in the City as set
forth in said Notice as traversed by the largest number of
people;
WHEREAS, affidavits of publishing said Resolution and of
posting said Notice are on file in the office of the City Clerk;
WHEREAS, plans and specifications of said work and improve-
ments prepared by the Director of Public Works of the City,
which were and are on file in the office of the City Clerk, had
been~approved by the City Council and were referred to in said
Resolution of Intention; and
WHEREAS, persons interested objecting to said acquisitions
or improvements or the issuance of said bonds, or to the costs
and expenses thereof, filed written protests with the City
Clerk at or before the time set for hearing, and all persons
interested desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to
be heard, and all matters and things pertaining to said project
and said proceedings were fully heard and considered by said
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, said Council does hereby FIND, DETERMINE,
and ORDER, as follows:
1. That written protests or objections were not filed
with the City Council signed by more than one-half of the
owners of improved real property in the area more particularly
described in said Resolution of Intention, as the owners are
Shown on the records of the Assessor and the Tax Collector
upon which general City taxes are collected.

2. That before the conclusion of the hearing, a petition
was not filed with said Council signed bY not less than 15% of
the owners within the area described in said Resolution of Inten-
tion requesting that the Council submit the proposition of
acquiring or constructing the proposed works or issuing said
bonds to an election of property owners in the area.
3. That the City Council has Jurisdiction to proceed
pursuant to the Revenue Bond Law of 1933, Chapter 5 (commenc-
ing with Section 4950), Part 3, Division 5 of the Health and
Safety Code of the State of California, with the acquisition
and construction of said improvements and of the issuance and
sale of revenue bonds therefor.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at a iregular meeting held this 20th day of January, 1969, by the following
vote=
