1. Called to Order: 7:13 p.m.
2. Roll Call: Present: Councilmembers Addiego, Matsumoto and
Gonzalez, Vice Mayor Garbarino and Mayor
Mullin.
Absent: None.
3. Post Colors - South San Francisco Police Explorers.
Colors were honorably and duly posted by the South San Francisco Police Explorers.
4. Pledge of Allegiance. Led by Mayor Mullin.
5. Introduction of Elected Officials.
Mayor Mullin introduced the elected officials and/or their representatives that were in
attendance at the meeting.
6. Public Comments - comments were limited to items on the Special Meeting Agenda.
Ms. Wynn Grcich and Mr. Mike Francois thanked Councilmembers for their
responsiveness to citizen concerns and for hearing their opinions on the dangers of
drinking water additives.
7. Mayor declares the purpose of the meeting.
Mayor Mullin declared the purpose of the meeting was to swear in the elected officials that
were re- elected in the November 8, 2011 Municipal Election and reorganize the South San
Francisco City Council.
8. Resolution No. 135 -2011 canvassing returns and declaring results of the South San
Francisco General Municipal Election on November 8, 2011.
City Clerk Martinelli read the Canvass of the Election that is set forth in Resolution 135-
2011 attached as Exhibit A hereto.
Motion— Councilman Addiego /Second— Vice Mayor Garbarino: to approve Resolution No. 135-
2011. Unanimously approved by voice vote.
9. Oaths of Office Administered to Officials Reelected in November 8, 2011 General
Municipal Election.
Oaths of Office were administered as follows:

Hon. Richard Garbarino Mrs. Andrea Belforte, Richard's Daughter
Hon. Kevin Mullin Hon. Krista Martinelli
* Andrea Belforte was duly deputized for the purpose of swearing -in the elected official noted.
10. Reorganization of the City Council
a. Remarks of Outgoing Mayor
Mayor Mullin delivered outgoing remarks.
b. Nominations for Mayor; close of nominations; appointment
Motion— Councilman Gonzalez /Second— Councilman Addiego: to nominate and appoint Hon.
Richard A. Garbarino to serve as Mayor in the City of South San Francisco. Unanimously
approved by voice vote.
c. Nominations for Vice Mayor; close of nominations; appointment
Motion— Councilwoman Matsumoto /Second— Councilman Gonzalez: to nominate and appoint
Hon. Pedro Gonzalez to serve as Vice Mayor of the City of South San Francisco. Unanimously
approved by voice vote.

Being no further business, Mayor Garbarino adjourned the meeting at 7:53 p.m.
