REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR THE DOWNTOWN/CENTRAL REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
AND AUTHORIZING TRANSMITTAL OF PLAN TO AFFECTED
TAXING AGENCIES, THE FISCAL REVIEW COMMITTEE, THE
PLANNING COMMISSION, THE PARKING PLACE COMMISSION
AND THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency has prepared a
Redevelopment Plan for the Downtown/Central Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, any affected taxing agency may call for the creation of a fiscal
review committee with respect to the Redevelopment Plan for the Downtown/Central
Redevelopment Project, pursuant to Section 33353 of the California Community
Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 33353.4 of the California Community Redevelopment
Law, if a fiscal review committee is created the Agency shall send the proposed
Redevelopment Plan to the San Mateo County representative to the fiscal review
committee; and
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law provides in Section 33355
that prior to a joint public hearing on the proposed Redevelopment Plan, the
Agency shall submit the proposed Redevelopment Plan to the Planning Commission
for its report and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Redevelopment Plan will also be distributed to the
Parking Place Commission, the Historic Preservation Commission and other
interested groups and individuals for their review and comments prior to the
joint public hearing; and
WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report is being prepared to document any
impact that the project may have on the environment and make recommendations
on suggested mitigation measures to minimize those impacts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
South San Francisco that:
1. The proposed Redevelopment Plan for the Downtown/Central Redevelopment
Project is hereby received.
2. The Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to transmit the
proposed Redevelopment Plan to each affected taxing agency for consultation
purposes.
3. In the event a fiscal review committee is created, the Executive Director
is hereby authorized and directed to transmit the proposed Redevelopment Plan
for the Project to the San Mateo County representative to the fiscal review
committee.
4. The proposed Redevelopment Plan is referred to the Planning Commission
of the City of South San Francisco for report and recommendation.
5. The proposed Redevelopment Plan also is referred to the Parking Place
Commission and the Historic Preservation Commission for review and comments.
~ The Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to make available
to persons and organizations within the Project Area a copy of the proposed
Redevelopment Plan prior to submitting it to the legislative body.
7. The related Draft Environmental Impact Report also is authorized to be
publicly distributed.
I hereby certify that the 'foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held on the 14th day of'December , 1988~ by
the following vote:

- Gus Nicolopulos, and Chairman Rober~a Cerri Teglia
