RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABATE WE]~DS

WHEREAS weeds are now growing upon the streets of the City of South San Francisco
designated as follows, to-wit:
Armour Avenue from the westerly line of San Bruno Road to the easterly line of
Olive Avenue; Aspen Avenue for the full length thereof; Pine Avenue from the westerly
line of San Bruno Road to the westerly end of said Pine Avenue; California avenue from
the westerly line of Sah Bruno Road to the end of California Avenue; Lu~ Avenue from
the westerly line of San Bruno Road to the easterly line of ~aple Avenue; ~iller Avenue
from the westerly line of San Bruno Road to the easterly line of Chestnut Avenue; Grand
Avenue from the westerly line of ~aple Avenue to the easterly line of Chestnut Avenue;
Baden Avenue from the westerly line of San Bruno Road to the easterly line of Chestnut
Avenue; Commercial Avenue from the westerly line of Linden Avenue to the easterly line
of Orange Avenue; Railroad Avenue from the westerly line of Linden Avenue to the e~st-
erly line of Orange Avenue; San Bruno Road from the northerly line of Co~r~ercial Avenue
to the north boundary line of said City of South San Francimco, excepting all street and
alley intersections with said San Bruno Road; Cypress Avenue from the north line of Baden
Avenue to the south line of Armour Avenue, excepting all street ~-:,nd alley intersections
with said Cypress Avenue, Linden Avenue from thd northerly line of Commercial Avenue to
the south line of Armour Avenue, excerpting all street and alley intersections with said
Linden Avenue; ~aple Avenue from the North line of Railroad Avehue to the south line of
Aspen Avenue, excepting all street and alley intersections with said ~aple Avenue;
Spruce Avenue from the north line of Railroad Avenue to the northerly end thereof, ex-
cepting all street and alley intersections with said Spruce Avenue; k~ag~olia Avenue from
the north line of Rsilroad Avenue to the South line of ~iller Avenue, excepting all
street and all intersections with said Eagnolia Avenue; Orange Avenue from the north line
of ~ommerci~l Avenue to the ~outh line of Eiller Avenue, excepting all street and alley
intersections with said Orange Avenue; Acacia Avenue for the full length thereof, ex-
cepting all street a~nd alley intersections with said Acacia Avenue, EucalYPtus Avenue
from the north line of Commercial Avenue to the south tine of Eiller Avenue, excepting
all street and alley intersections with said Eucalyptus Avenue; Laurel Avenue for the
full length~thereof; Pine Terrace for the full length thereof; Walnut Avenue £or the

Chapman Avenue for the full length thereof; and Braden Avenue for the full length thereof,
excepting all street and alley intersections with said Braden Avenue; the portions of
A Street, B Street, C Stree~ and D Street extending southerly from the right of way of
the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, and the portions of 1st Street, ~nd Street and Zrd
Street extending westerly from said righ~ o£ way, excepting all street intersections with
said A Street, B Street, C Street, D Street, 1st Street, 2nd Street and Zrd Street; and
WHEREAS said weeds have attained such a large growth as to become a fire menace when
said weeds shall become dry and are dangerous;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that thw weeds grow-
ing on all the portions, of the streets hereinbefore described be, and the same hereby are
declared to be a public nuisance and that it ~s the intention of said City Council to
order said nuisance to be abated;
Said City Council hereby determines and declares that said nuisance exists in front
of the following described property;~ all of which is situated in the City of South S~n
Francisco, County of San ~ateo, State of California, and particularly described as
follows, to-wit:

The map last hereinbefore referred to is that certain map entitled,
"Section west of railroad of the town of Baden", which map was filed in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of S~:~.n Mateo, California, November
~0, l~gl, in Volume "E" of Maps at page 62;
The Superintendent of Streets is hereby directed to cause to be con-
spicuously posted in front of all property in front of which said nuisance
exists, and not more than one hundred (100) feet in distance apart, but not
less than three (3) in all, notices headed "Notice to Destroy Weeds" in the
manner and form required by law.
All of the herein proposed work of abating said nuisance shall be
done in pursuance of ~:n act of the Legislature of the State of California

entitled "An act authorizing municipalities to declare no×ious or dangerous weeds growing
upon the streets or sidewalks, or upon private property within municipalities, to be a
public nuisance, creating a lien upon the property fronting' upon such streets or side-
walks or upon which such nuisance exists for the cost of abating the same", approved
May 26, 1915.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution of intention was regularly in-
troduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San ~rancisco this 21st
