RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK 0F CLOSING UP BIRCH AVENUE BETWEEN THE
NORTHERLY ~LINE 0F SPRUCE AVENUE AND THE WESTERLY LINE 0F PARK
WAY, IN THE'CITY 0F SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
WHEREAS the Ci.ty Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 19th day
of May, 1930, pass a resolution.declaring its intention to order the following street work.
to he done in said City, to-wit.
That the portion of Birch avenue situate in the City of South San Francisco, de-
scribed as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the westerly line ~of Birch Avenue, said point being also
the most southeasterly corner of Lot nO. l0 in Block 8, as said lot and block are shown
on that certain map entitled "Parkway Terrace", filed'for record December 23, 1926, in
Volume 14 of M~ps at pages 6Z and 64, San Mateo County RecOrds: running thence from said
point of beginning South ?40 27' East 50 feet; thence South lB~ 3~' West 83.98 feet;
thence on the arc of a curve to the left tangent at its beginning to the .last mentioned
line, and having a radius~ of 7~ feet, a distance of 64.30 feet; thence South 33° 34'. 18"
East 23.63 feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the right, tangent at its beginning to
the last mentioned line, and having a radius of 180 fset a distance of V9.61 feet to
the northwesterly l~ne of Spruce Avenue; thence South 560 25' 42" West 75.13 feet;
thence North 15° 33 East 23.~8 feet; thence~ on the arc of a curve to the left tangent
at its beginning to the last mentioned line and having a radius of 79.8? feet, a
distance of 88.49 feet; thence North 3~° 34' 18" West 23.83 feet; thence on the arc of
a curve to the right, tangent at its beginning to the last mentioned line and having a
radius of 125 feet, a distance of 107.18 feet; thence North 15 Z3' East 83.98 feet to the point of
beginning, be v~cated and closed up in whole, and did, in said resolution,declare that no
land is necessary to be t~ken therefor, and did, in said resolution, specify the ~exterior
boundaries of the district of lands to be affected ~nd benefitted by said work and to be
assessed to Pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, to which said resolution of in-
tention now on file in said matter reference is hereby made for ~urther particulars ~nd
the same. is made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS the Street Superintendent of said City of South San Francisco did there-
upon cause notice of the passage of said resolution to be posted and published in the
manner and form required by law and by said resolution of intention, reference being
hereby made for furhter particulars to the affidavit of George A. Kneese, said Street
Superintendent, and to the affidavit of A. E. Bramble, which affidavits are mow on
file in said n~atter in the office of the Clerk of said City Council and are made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS no written objections or protests against said proposed work have atany
time been filed with or received by the Clerk of said City. Council or this City Council
at any time subsequent to the publication of the said notice hereinbefore mentioned, and
more th~n ten (10) d~ys have elapsed after the expiration of the time of publication of
said notico of the passage of s~id resoldtion; and
WHERE~S the proposed work is for the closing up of the portion of Birch Avenue,
as hereinbefore described; and
WHEREAS said City Council of the City of South San Francisco has determined and
does hereby determine that no assessment is necessary for the'doing o~ s~id proposed
work, and that no d~ma~e will result by closing up said portion of Birch Avenue, as
hereinbefore described;
NOW' THEREFORE, said City Council hereby orders that the following str~
work be done in said City, to-wit:
That the portion of Birch Avenue, hereinbefore described, be vacated and
closed up in whole.
And be it resolved that the portion of the street or avenue hereinbefore
described be, and the same is hereby vacated, discontinued, abandoned and cI'o~ed up,

I hereby, certify that the foregoing reSolution was regularly introduce~ and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, at a regular~
meeting held this 7th day of JulY, 19ZO, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen V. Boido, R. Lloyd, M. Minucciani, R. Tibbetts, J. P. Quinlan
Noes, Councilmen None
