~,~EREAS the Sout~ San Francisco Baseball Club desires to have the use of the
baseball grounds and a portion of the City Park adjacent thereto, which baseball grounds
are situate south of Railroad A~enue and west ~f the extension of Orange Avenue in said
City, for the purposes of conducting baseball games on said grounds on Saturdays, Sun-
days and public holidays for the period com~.encing Eay 4, 19Z1, and ending December Z1,
19Z1; and
~EREAS said South Bau Francisco Baseball Club proposes to cause a
series of games to be playe~l on said grounds and to promote the welfare of such
athletics as will be beneficial to this comr.~unity and to arrange for the conduct of
such games in an orderly manner; and
?~EREAS the City Council of the City of South ~an Francisco believes that
it will be beneficial to said City to have such games conducted as proposed by said
club and to have such games controlled by said club;
NOW, THEREFORE, RESOLVED BY THE ~ITY C0~ECIL of the City of ~outh San
Francisco that said City of South San Francisco lease to said South ~an Francisco Base-
ball Club said grounds, including the grandstand at said grounds and the portion of
said City Park lying west of said extension of 0range Avenue and now used for the pur-
poses of parking automobiles at games on said grounds, for the period commencing
on the ~th day of Eay, 19Z1, and ending on December Zl,~lgZ1, on the days herein
specified.
In consideration for the lease of said grounds said Club shall pay
to said City of South ~an Francisco the sum of One Dollar ~$1.001. Said South San
Francisco Baseball Club is hereby permitted to make charges for admission to any and
all such ga~es in such amounts as shall br reasonable and to make reasonable rules
and regulations for the conduct of such games on said grounds. All sums of money
which said club shall receive for admission to such games shall be retained by said
club.
The D~yor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed in the
name of said City to enter into a lease with said South S~n Francisco Baseball Club
in accordance with this resolution.

troduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this
