WHEREAS said weeds have attained such a large growth as to become a fire
menace when said weeds shall become dry and are d~ngerous;
~RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the
weeds growing on all' the portions of the streets hereinbefore described be, and
the same hereby are declared to be a public nuisance and that~it is the intention
of said City Council to order said nuisance to be abated;
Said City Council hereby determines and declares that said nuisance
in front of the fei.lowing described property, ~ll of which is situated in the City
of South San Fr~,~ncisco, County el' San~if. ateo, State of C~lifornia, and particularly
described as fo~lows, to-wit:

The mar last hereinbefore refehred to is that certain map entitled "Section west
of railroad of the Town of Baden," which map was filed in the office of the County
Recorder of the Codnty of San Nateo, Celifornia. November Z0, 1891, in Volume "E"
of Naps ~t page 62:
The Superintendent of Streets is hereby directed to ca~,zse to be conspicuously
posted in front of all priperty in front of which said nuisance exists, and not more
th~u3 one hundred (100) feet in distance apart, but not less than three (3) in all,
notices headed "Notice~ to Destroy Weedw" in the maUner and i°orm required by law.
All ol' the herein proposed work of abating said nuisance shall be done in
pursuance,~of an act of the Legislature of the State of C~lifornia entitled "An
~ct authorizing municipalities to declare noxious or dangerous weeds growing upon
the streets or sidewalks, or upon private property within municipalities, tc be a
public nuisance, creating a lien upon the property fronting upon such streets or
.~idewalks or upon which such nuisan'ce exists~ for the cost o~' abating the same",

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution of intention was regularlY
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San ~rancisco,
