RESOLUT I0N AWARDING CONTRACT
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Fraucisc~ did, in open
session, on the 6th day of January, 1936, publicly open, examine and declare all
sealed proposals or bids fo~ doing the following public work in said city, to-
wit: The furnishing of untreated Douglas fir piles and the driving of untreated
Douglas £ir piles and making cut-offs for the bridge to be constructed on Linden
Avenue between Railroad Avenue and the Bayshore line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad Company;
RESOLVED that said City CounCil hereby rejects all said proposals or
bids, except that next hereinafter mentioned, ~ hereby awards the contract for
doing said work to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: James D. Neall
at the prices named in his bid to-w. it :~
Item A: For furnishing at the stie of the work, in the City of South
San Francisco, 41 untreated Douglas fir piles, totaling 1230 lineal feet, more
or less, the sum ~f $0.25 per lineal foot;
Item B: For driving and making cut-off on 41 piles, t~ sum of $15.00
per pile.
Reference is hereby made to the resolution of said City Council order-
ing said work, which resolution was adopted on the 16th day of December, 1935.
The contract for said work shall be entered into and said work shall be per-
formed in strict accordsnce with the terms of said resolution, the plans and
specifications therefor and the notice inviting sealed proposals for said work.
The mayor and the City Clerk of said City are hereby authorized, in
behalf of said City of South San Francisco, to execute with said James D. Neal
the contract hereby awarded.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 6th day
of January, 19~6, by the following vote:
