DEPARTi!~IENT OF Tt~E CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
RESOI~ ED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that public
interest and convenience recuire that said city purchase a new automobile for use in
the police department of sa~d city. The bidder to whom the contract will be awarded for
one of the automobiles hereinafter designated will be required to purchase of said city
the Dodge automobile now being used in the Police Department of said city, and the sum
of money offered for said Dodge automobile shall be applied upon the purchase price
for the automobile to be acquired.
The City Clerk of said city is hereby directed to publish by two (2) in-
sertions in "The Enterprise and The South Sau ~rancisco Jorunal", a newspaper of
general circulation printed and published in the said City of South San Francisco,
the following notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for such automobile:
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR FUPd~ISHING AN AUTO-
MOBILE TO THE CITY OF SOU~ SAN

Sealed proposals will be received by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco until 8:00 o'clock p. m. on Monday, the 18th day of May, 1936, for fur-
nishing to said city, for use in the Police Department of said city, one (1) of the
automobiles hereinafter designated. The automobiles hereinbefore referred to are a
Buick Sedan, Model No. 61; Packard Sedan with 120 inch wheel base, Studebaker Sedan,
President 8 Model. Each of such automobiles shall be sully equipped.
Each bidder shall, in conjunction with his bid, offer to purchase the
Dodge automobile now owned by said City of South San Francisco and now used by the
Police Department of said city, The amount of such offer shall be applied upon
the purchase price of t he automobile which shall be selected by the City Council
of said city, in the event of an award of contract, pursuant to this notice, and
a transfer of said Dodge automobile, now ovmed by said city, to the successful
bidder.
No bid will be considered by said City Council unless the same is
accompanied by an offer to purchase the Dodge Automobile now owned by ~id city.
Sealed proposals or 'bids wi!l be delivered to the City Clerk on om
before 8:00 o'clock p. m. on Monday, the ~Sth day of ~ay, 1936. All sealed pro-
posals or bids will be opened by said City Council in public session on Monday, the
18th day of },'lay, 1936, at 8:00 o'clock p. m. in the Council Chamber of said City
Council. The City Council hereby reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
