D]~ART]tENT 01;' '±'~'~ CiTY 0F SOU~ SAN FRANCISCO.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San ~¥ancisco that public
interest and convenience require that said city purchase a new automobile for use in
the Police Department of said city. The bidder to whom the contract will be awarded
for one of thc automobiles hereinafter designated will be required to purchase of
said city the Dodge automobile now being used in the Police Department of said city,
and the s~mm of money offered for said Dodge automobile shall be applied upon the ~ur-
chase price for the automobile to be acquired°
The City Clerk of said city is hereby directed to publish by two (~) insertions
in "The Enterprise and The South San Francisco Journal", a newspaper of general circulation
printed s_nd published in the said City of South Sa~ Francisco, the following notice in-
viting sealed proposals or bids for such automobile:

Sealed proposals will be received by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco until 8:00 o'clock p. m. on ~onday, the 15th day of June, 1936, for
furnishing to said city, for use in the Police Department of said city, one (1) of the
sa~tomobiles hereinafter designated. The automobiles hereinbefore referred to are a
Lincoln Zephyr Sedan, Buick Sedan, ~']odel No. 61; Packard Sedan with 1~0 inch. wheel
base; Studebaker Sedan, President 8 Model. Each of such automobiles shall be fully
e quipp e d o
Each bidder shall, in conjunction with his bid, offer to purchase the Dodge
automobile now owned by said City of South San ffrancisco and now used by the Police
Department of said city. 'i~e amount of such offer shall be applied upon the purchase
price of the automobile which shall be selected by the City Council of said city, in
the event of an award of contract, pursuant to this notice, and a transfer of said Dodge
automobile, now ovaaed by said city, to the successful bidder.
No bid will be considered b~- said City Council, unless the ss~e is accompanied
by an offer to purchase the Dodge automobile now owned by said city.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or before 8:00
o'clock p. m. on ~',~onday, the 15th day of June, 1936. Ail sealed proposals or bids will
be opened by said City Council in public session on Monday, the !5th day of June, 1936,
at 8:00 o'clock po m. in the Council Chamber of said City Council, The City Co~mncil here-
by reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
