WHEREAS the CENTRAL L~ND AND IMPROVE~T COn, ANY has sold to the City and Coum~
of San Francisco the land hereinafter described, aud said City and County of San Fran.
ciSco is now the owner of said land; and
WHEREAS There are~ taxes upon said la~ to saidci~ unpaid, which were levied agaiz
said land before said City and CoUnty of San Francisco acquired thetitle thereto; and
~LEREAS it is p~ovided, among othe things, in section 3804a of the Political Co~
that any uncollected tax, or assessment, or portion thereof, or. penalty or costs there
upon an assessment of property which, after the time of said tax, became a lien, was
acquired and owned by the state, or by any county, city and county, municipa~ corporat
school district or other polit~al division and which, because of such public ownership
is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes may, upon sati sfactor~ proof thereof, be
cancelled by the officer having custody of the record there of upon the order of the
board of supervisors, or other governing board with the written consent of the distric
attorney, city attorney or legal advisor of said board; and
WHEREAS the city attorney.has, in writing, consented to the cauellation of said
uncollected tax;
RESOLVED by the city council of the City of South San Francisco that the tax col~
actor of said City of South San Francisco be, and she is hereby ordered tocar~el said
uncollected tax.
The land hereinbefore referred to is situate in the City of South San Fran~sco,
County of San Mateo, State of.California, and particularly described as follows, to-wit
Fractional Tide Land Lot No. 31, in Section 27, Township 3 South, Range 5 west, M
Diablo Base and Meridian, as shown on Map No. I of Salt Marsh and Tide Lands situate in
the County of San Mateo, State of California prepared by order of the Board of Tide Lan
Commissioners under the authority and in accordance with the provisions of an Act entlt
"an Act supplementary to, and amendatory of an Act, entitled au Act to survey and dispo~
of certain salt marsh and tide lands belong~_n~ tothe State of California, approved Marc
thirtieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight" approved Apr~ 1st, 18~0, and described as
follows:
BEGINNING AT a point in San Francisco Bay On the Southline of Section 2T, distant
70 chains East of a granite monument set at the Sout~west c~ner of said Section 2?;
Shence along said South line, West *.19 chains to ou~e: line of Salt Marsh; thence alor~
last mentioned line, North 0.03 chains; North 4o 30' East 16.18 chains and North 20° 18'
East ~.10 chains; thence across tide lands East 1.50 chains and thence South 20 chains t
the point of beginning.
Containing 6.6 acres.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopt-

CONSENT OF CITY ATTORNEY TO CANCELLATION 0FTAX AGAI~T LAND
OWNED BY CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO.
WHEREAS the CENTRAL LAND AND IMPROVEMENT COMPANY has sold to the City and
County of San Francisco the land hereinafter described, and said City and County
of San Francisco is now the owner of said land; and
WHEREAS there are taxes upon said land to said tty unpaid, which were levied
against said land before said City and County of San Francisco acquired the title
thereto; and
WHEREAS it is provided, among other things, in section 3804a of the Political
Code that any uncollected tax, or a~sessment, or portion the. regf, or penalty or costs
thereon, upon an assessment of property which, after the time of said tax, became a
lien, was 'acquired and owned by the state, or by any county, city and county, mu_uicipal
corporation, school district or other political division and which, because of such
public ownership, is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes may, upon satisfactory
proof thereof, be cancelled by the officer having oastody of the record tahereof upon
the order of the board of supervisors, or other governing board with t~ written con-
sent of the district attorney, city attorney or legal advisor of said board;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, J. W. Coleberd, as city attorney of the City of South Sa~
Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby consent to the cancellati on
of said uncollected tax.

tnat 70 chains East of a granite monument set at the ~outkest corner of said Section 27;
thence along said South line, West 4.19 chains to outer .line of Salt Marsh; rhone ~long
last mentioned line, No~th 0.03 chains; North 4° 30' East 16. lB cha~s and North 20v 15'
East 4.10 chains; thence across tide lands East 1.80 chains and thence South 20 chains
to the point of beginning.
Containing 6.6 acres.
