HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso RDA 20-2000 RESOLUTION NO. 20-2000 REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 212 BADEN AVENUE WHEREAS, On December 15, 1999 the City Council and Redevelopment Agency approved an Exclusive Negotiating Rights Agreement with Robert and Kathleen Giorgi; and WHEREAS, On June 14, 2000 the City Council and Redevelopment Agency approved a Disposition and Development Agreement with Robert and Kathleen Giorgi for the development of a new 45,000 square foot retail furniture store on property owned by Mr. & Mrs. Giorgi, the City and the Redevelopment Agency; and WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for Giorgi leasing back the 212 Baden Avenue property from the Agency for a period of up to one year at an annual rate of $94,000 or $7833.33 per month; and WHEREAS, as part of the property exchange with Robert and Kathleen Giorgi, the Agency is receiving property located at 212 Baden as part of the transaction; and WHEREAS, the acceptance of the property located at 212 Baden brings to closure a portion of the property exchange between the City, Redevelopment Agency and Robert and Kathleen. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco that it hereby accepts property located at 212 Baden Avenue. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive Director is authorized to sign the Certificate of Acceptance. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco at a Regular meeting held on the 26th day of July ,2000 by the following vote: AYES: Boardmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Eugene R. Mullin and John R. Penna, and Chair Karyl Matsumoto NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: Vice Chair Joseph A.
