A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEmeNT BET'..~EF~N THE CITY.OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND UNITED PACKING CO.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city enter into an
agreement with United Packing Company, a corporation, wherein said city will agree to sell the land first herein-
after described for the sum of $8,820.00 in cash.
The land hereinbefore referred to consists of all that certain tract or parcel of land Situate in
the City of South S~n Francisco, County of San )~ateo, State of California, and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the northerly line of Swift Avenue (formerly Walker Avenue) in the City
of South San Francisco; said point being distan~ South 56° 37' 18" East 10.10 feet and North 33° 22' &2"
East 50 feet from a granite mom~nent set in the centerline of Swift Avenue at the first angle point east
of the Southern Pacific Railroad; running thence North 56° 37' 18" West along the northerly line of said
Swift Avenue 25.60 feet;~thence continuing along the northerly line of Swift Avenue South 89° 52' 30"
West 8&.~O feet; thence leaving said northerly line of Swift Avenue and running North 33° 22' ~2" East
2&6.59 feet; thence South 56° 37' 18" East 95.98 feet and South 33° 22' &2" West 200.00 feet to the
point of beginning.
CONTAINING O.~8 acres and being a portion of the Buri Buri Rancho.
In said agreement, said United Packing Company shall agree to lease to said City t~e land hereinb~
fore described, diminished by all that certain tract or parcel of land situate in said City of South San
Francisco and described as follows:
The portion of that certain O.h8 acre tract located on East Grand Avenue (formerly Swift
Avenue) now owned by the City of South San Francisco, being a strip of land l~ feet wide lying 7
feet on either side of the following described center line and extensions thereto: j
C~CING at a point in the common boundary between East Grand Avenue and said 0.~8
acre tract, said point being distant along said common boundary north 89° 52' 30" east 17.99
feet from the most westerly corner of said O.~8 acre tract; thence from said point of commencement
running parallel to and distant 15 feet southeasterly from the north westerly boundary of said
O.~86 acre tract north 33° 22' ~2" east 95.00 feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the right,
tangent to said last mentioned course at said last mentioned point, having a radius of ~5 feet
through an angle of 38° 56'35" a distance of 30.58 feet to a point of cusp; thence on the arc of a
curve to the left of radius of ~5 feet through an angle of 38° 56' 35" a distance of 30.58 feet;
thence north 33° 22' ~2" east 29.65 feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the right, tangent to said
last mentioned course at said last mentioned point, having a radius of dO feet through angle of 90°
00' 00" a distance of 62.83 feet; thence south 56° 37' 18" east 20.53 feet to a point in the south-
eaSterly boundary of said 0.d86 acre tract, said point being distant along said ~oundary north 33°
22' ~2" east l~O.O0 feet from the most southerly corner of said O.d8 acre tract:
The southerly end of said Strip being a portion of above mentioned common boundary be-
tween East Grand Avenue and 0.~86 acre tract, and the easterly end being a portion of the above
mentioned southeasterly boundary of O.A8 acre tract:
CONTAINING 0.0865 of an acre.
for and during the term commencing on the 2Otb day of December, 19A8, and terminating on the expiration of one (
year from the date when an underpass will be constructed and open for public use on Grand Avenue, in said city,
under the right-of-way 6f the Southern Pacific Company. The rent for said premises shall be Twelve Dollars
($12.00) per year, payable annually in advance.
In said agreement it shall also be provided that said city may use the portion of the premises
last hereinbefore described as a corporation yard to and including October 25, 1950.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South Stm Francisco this 20th day of December, 19~8, by the following vote:
