HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1518-1950440 RESOLUTION NO. 1518 WHEREAS it has pleased AlmlghtY.God in'His infinite wisdom to take from this life ROBERT E~TT D'BRIEN, who was Chief of Police of the City of Sa~ Mateo; and, ~EREAS Mr. O'Brien at all times honestly and courageously performed the duties of his office and was outst~mding amoung police executives in California for the efficiency with which he administered the office held by him; and, ~'~E~EAS Mr. O'Brien devoted himself energetically and zealously to the interest and welfare of the y~th of the City of San Mateo, and by so doing, sought to cause them to grow into worthy and useful citizens; and, ~EREAS the influence of Mr. O'Brien, as chief of police, reached beyond the City of San Mateo and was appreciated by all who knew of his work; RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city council laments the passing of Mr. O'Brien and extends its sympathy to the members of his family and to the community of San Mateo. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sont to the members of the family of Mr. 0'Brien and that another copy be sent to the City Council of the City of Sar. }~teo. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 20th day of February, 1950, by the following vote: Ayes, Co, mcilmen Victor Boido, Chas.
