446 RESOLUTION NO. 1520 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUY~CIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO CALLING AN ELECTION FOR THE FO~ATION OF PARK RECREATION AND PARK]gAY DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. Ir~EREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 20th day of February, 1950, adopt a resolution wherein said city council proposes to take the steps provided by the Public Resources Code of the State of California for the formation and organization of the park and recreation district in and for said City of South San Francisco and, in said resolution, fixed Monday, the 6th day of March, 1950, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m. and the council chamber in the city hall of said city as thetime and place for hearing the determination of said matter, and also directed the publication, for two (2) successive weeks in The Enterprise, a newspaper of general cir- culation, published and circulated in said City of South San Francisco, of a notice for proposed for- mation of city park recreation and parkway district in the City of South San Francisco; and ?~>iREAS said notice was published as required by said resolution and by law~ and WHEREAS, insaid resolution, said citv council determined the exterior boundaries of the territory proposed to be organized into such park recreation and parkway district to be ex- terior boundaries of said City of South San Francisco; and ?~EREAS, at the meeting of said city council, held on the 6th day of March, 1950, no person made any objection to the formation of such district; RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city council hereby calls an election to be held in and through said City of South San Francisco on the llth day Of April, 1950, for the purpose of submitting to the electors of said city the proposition or question whether the park recreation and par~vay district, comprising the entire area of said City of South San Francisco, shall be formed and established. Said city council does hereby submit to the qualified electors of said City of South San Francisco, at said election, the following proposition or question: "Shall the resolution of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco of the 20th day of February, 1950, that South San Francisco Park Recreation and Parkway District be established, be ratified?" The name of the proposed district is South San Francisco Park Recreation andPark- way District, and the name of the city in w~ich the proposed district is to be located is the City of South San Francisco, in the County of San Mateo, Stateof California. The exterior boundaries of the territory proposed to be organized into such park recreation and parkway district are the exterior boundaries of said City of South San Francisco. No tax ceiling has been determined by said city council. Said election shall be held and conducted, and the votes thereof canvassed and the returns thereof made, and the result thereof ascertained and determined as herein provided; and, in all particulars not herein recited, said election shall be held as provided by ]aw for holding general elections in tbe County of San Mateo. No notice of said election other than by publication of this resol~tion need be given. All persons qualified to vote at municipal elections in said City of South San Francisco upon the date of the election herein provided for shall be qualified to vote upon the meas- ures submitted at said election. The polls at the polling places hereinafter designated shall be opened at 7 o'clock a.m. of said day of election and shall be kept open. icontinuously thereafter until 7 o'clock p.m. of said day of election, when the polls shall be closed (except as provided in Section 5634 of the Elections Code), and the election officers shall thereupon proceed to canvass the ballots cast thereat. For the conduct of said election, the City of South San Francisco is hereby divided into twenty-two (22) consolidated election precincts, an8 the general state and county election precincts, into which said city is divided for general state and county election purposes, are here- by consolidated as hereinafter provided. The territory embraced within each of said precincts, the polling p~aces therein, and the election officers appointed to conduct said election thereat are as follows, to wit: Voting Precinct A shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 1 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 23, as established by that certain Resolution No. 4568 entitled: "RESOLUTION A~ORD:R DIVIDI:C THE COUNTY OF SAM HATEO, CALIFORNIA, INTO ~ECTION PRECINCTS ~ND ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF", passed and adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, California, February 7, 1950, and the polling a~ace for said Voting Precinct A shall be in Vincenzini's Garage, at No. 816 Grand Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct B shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 29, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct B shall be in Oliver's Garage, s£ No. 700 Circle Court, in the City of South San Fran- cisco. Voting Precinct C shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 3 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 5, as established by said resolution of said board of super- visors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct C shall be in Laufer's Garage, at No. 111 Magnolia Avenue, in theCity of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct D shall include all the territory mn South San Francisco Precinct No. d and South San Francisco Precinct No. 17, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct D Shall be in Tognella's Garage, at No. 601 Mill~r Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct E shall include all the territory mn South San Francisco Precinct No. 6 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 13,, as established by said resolution of said board of suoervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct E shall be in Cagnacci's Garage, at No. ll2 Maple Avenue, in the Cit~~ of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct F shall include all the territory mn South San Francisco Precinct No. 7 and South San Francisco Precinct No. l~, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct F shall be in Bottino's Garage, at No. 833 Linden Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct G shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 9 and South San Francisco Prec~.uct Mo. ll, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling.~place for said Voting Precinct G shall be in Fischer's Garage, at No. 205 Pine Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct H shall include all the territory mn South San Francisco Precinct No. l0 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 16, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct H shall be in Zucco's Barber Shop, at No. 218 Linden Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct I shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 12, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct I shall be in Hendel's Garage, at No. lO11 Bayshore Highway, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct J shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 28, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct J shall be in Ace Bedding Store, at No. &73 Grand Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct K shall include ali. the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 8 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 27, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said VotingPrecinct K shall be in Marinoff's Garage, at No. 621 Maple Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct L shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 15, as established by said resolution of said bsrd of supervisors, and the polling place for Said Voting Precinct L shall be in Dietsche's Gara.qe, at No. 108 Claremont Avenue, in the City of South San FranCisco. Voting Precinct M shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 18, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct M shall bein Petroni's Garage,. at No. &07 West Orange Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct N shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 19 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 30, as established b y said resolution of said board of suoervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct N shall be in Hernan's Garage, at No. 128 Knoll Circle, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct 0 shall include all the territory in South San Francis© Precinct No. 20 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 22, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct 0 shall be in Neill's Garage, at No. 6~8 Mayfair Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct P shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 21, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct P shall be in Community Hall, at No. 200 Victory Avenue, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct Q shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 2~, South San Francisco Precinct No. 25 and South San Francisco Precinct No. ~6, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling olace for said Voting Precinct Q shall be in Schnei~er's Garage, at No. 120 Manor Drive, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct R shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 26 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 37, as established b y said resolution of said board of supervisors, a~ the polling place for said Voting Precinct R shall be in Teleguin's Garage, at No. 238 Hazelwood Drive, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct S shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 31 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 32, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said VotingPrecinct S shall be in Torson's Garage, at No. 19 Del Paso Drive, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct T shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No; 33 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 3~, as established b y said ~esotution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct T shall be in Gass' Garage, at No. 200 Indio Drive, in the City of South San Francisco. Voting Precinct U shall include all the territory in South San Francisco Precinct No. 35, as established by said resolution of said board of supervisors, and the polling place for said Voting Precinct U shall be in Stuller's Garage, at No. 15~ Francisco Drive, in the City of South San Francisco. The City Clerk of the City of South San Francisco is hereby directed, upon the passage and adoption of this resolution, to publish the same once a week for two (2~ suc- cessive weeks in the Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the proposed district. Said city council deems that the Enterprise is the newspaper which is most likely to give no- tice to the electors of said election.
