RESOLUq~[0N GIVING NOTICE ~F PROPOSED ANNEXATION
OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRA~CI SC0.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has receive d
a written petition from Pacific Coast Construction Company, a corporation organized
and existing under the laws of the State of California, to annex to said City of
~outh SanFrancisco the uninhabited territory hereinafter described, which uninhabited
consists of all that certain real property situate in the County of San I~ateo,
State of California, and particularly described as follows'-.
BEGINNING at a point in the southwesterly line of the Old County Road
from San Francisco to San Jose,known as the 01d ~ismion Road, said point being on
the westerly corporate limits line of the City of South San Frsacisco, said point
also being the intersection of said southwesterly line of the 01d Mission Road
with the southwesterly extension of the southeasterly line of the 26,593 acre par-
cel of land described in Parcel Three of tt~t certain Decree of Distribution had in
the Matter of the Estate of Giuseppe Lagomarsino, et al, to May Lagomarsino, et al,
a certified copy of which was dated July 29,1935 and recorded August 3, 1935 in
Book 662 of Official Records of San Mateo County at page 8V (62665C); thence from
said point of beginning, northwesterly along said southwesterly line of the 01d
Mission Road 1900 feet, more or less, to the intersection of said line of the 01d
Mission Road with thesouthwesterly extension of the northwesterly line of the 13,215
Acre parcel of land of Antonio Scopestand wife,as described in the Deed from Agostino
Armanini and wife, dated January 4, 1936 and recordedJanuary 9, 1.o36 in Book 673 of
Official Records of San Mateo County at page 261 (TiVSVC); thence northeasterly along
said extension and said northwesterly line of the lands of Scopesi 3260 feet, more
or less, to the most North~rly corner thereof, said point being in the southeasterly
corporate limits line of the City of Colma. which line is also the southwesterly
line of the subdivisi ~'
on designated on the Map of the lands of the Abbey Homestead
Association," which map was find in the office of the Recorder ol~ the County of San
Mateo, Stateof California on January 2, 1872 in Book 15 of Deeds at pages 2 and 3
and copies entered in Book "B" of Maps at page 43 and Book I of Maps at page 14;
thence along said co~orate limits line of the City of Colma, southeasterly 950 feet,
more or less, and northeasterly 100 feet, more or less, to the intersection of said
corporate limi~ line with the southwesterly line of Hillside Blvd; thence leaving
the corpor~e limits line of the City of Colma and following said southwesterly line
of Hillside Boulevard southeasterly 660 feet, more or less, to the northwest corner
of the corporate limits of the City of South Ss~n Francisco, said point being the
most easterly corner of the above mentioned lands described, in said Decree of Dis-
tribution had in the ~atter of tt~ Estate of Giuseppe Lagomarsino; thence south-
westerly along said corporate limits line 3~70 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning.
AND WHE~EAS the territory here inbeforo described is in fact uninhabited
territory~ and
WItEREAS said Ci'ty Council, has found and does hereby find, that s~id
Pac~.fic Coast Construction Company, a corporation organized and existing under
the laws of the State of California, is the owner of more than one-fourth (~)
of the area of the land hereinbefore described and represents more than one-
fourth (¼) of the assessed value of said territory, accordin~ to the last pre-
ceding equalized assessmert roll of the County of San Nateo;
Said city council hereby designates the territory hereinbefore described
as Mission Gardens for the purposes of identification;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fr~cisco that
Monday, thelTth day of July, 1950, at the hour of 8 o'clock p. m. in the council
chanber in the city hal l~in said. City of South San Francisco be, and the same
hereby are fixed as the time and p]a ce when and where any person or persons
owning real property within the territory hereinbefore described and so proposed
to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation of said
territory may appear before said city council and show cause why said territory
should not be so annexed.
The city clerk of said city shall cause a copy of this resolution to
be published once a week for two (2) successive weeks prior to the date last
hereinbefore mentioned, in the SOUTH SAN FRA~.~CISC0 ENTERPRISF~JOURNAL, a news-
paper of gan eral circulation published and circulated in said City of South
San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 22nd
day of June, 1.o50, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K. Elder, Adolph Sani, Joseph Bracco,
Emilio Cortesi.
Noes, Councilmen, None.
Absent, Councilmen, None.
