RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION
OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has received a written
petition from THE STONECREST CORPORATION, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of
the State of California, and FRED GAN~ER, as trustee, to annex to said City of South San Francisco
the uninhabited territory hereinafter described, which uninhabited territory consists of all that
certain real property situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the corporate limits line of the City of South San
Francisco, said point being the point of intersection of the Northeasterly line of
the 80 foot right of way of the City and County of San Francisco with the Northwest-
erly line of Block 9, as said block is designated on the map entitled "RANCHO
BU~l S~TH SAN F~ANCISCO, CALIFORNIA", which map was filed in the office of the
Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on March 22, 19&6 in Book
25 of Maps at Pages 28, 29, and 30; thence I'rom s~id point of beginning along said
corporate limits line, said line being also the Northwesterly line of Rancho Burl
Burl Subdivision No. l, and along the Southwesterly prolongationOf said lines
Southwesterly to the Southwesterly line of Junipero Serra Boulevard; thence North-
westerly along the Southwesterly ldne of Junipero Serra Boulevard to the South-
easterly line of the 62.52 acre tract conveyed to Frank Lagomarsino by Deed record-
ed in Book 235 of Deeds at ~age ~52, San Mateo County Records; thence Southwesterly
along said Southeasterly line to the most Southerly corner of said 62.52 acre tract;
thence along the boundary of sai8 62.52 acre tract and the boundary of the 179.11
acre tract conveyed to Oliver D. Hamlin by Deed recorded in Book 259 of Deeds at
page 36~, San Mateo County Records, Northwesterly and Northeasterly to the Southerly
corner of the 53.95 acre tract conveyed to William E. Arata et al by Deed recorded
in Book 210 of Deeds at page 79, San Mateo County Records; thence along the boundary
'of said 53.95 acre tract Northwesterly and Northeasterly to the Southerly corner of the
Cypress Lawn Cemetery, said corner being on the corporate limits line of the Town of
Colma; thence Northeasterly along the Southeasterly line of Cypress Lawn Cemetery.
and the corporate limits line of the Town of Colma to the Northeasterly line of E1
Camino Real; thence Southeasterly along the Northeasterly line of E1 Camino Real to
the Northwesterly line of the aforementioned Lagomarsino 62.52 acre tract; thence
~Northeasterly along the Northwesterly line of said 62.52 acre tract to the South-
westerly line of Market Street Railway and the corporate limits line of the Town
of Colma; thence Southeasterly along said corporate limits line to.the Southeasterly line
of said 62.52 acre tract; thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line of said
62.52 acre tract to the Northeasterly line of E1 Camino Real; thence Southeasterly
along t~e Northeasterly line of E1 Camino Real to its intersection with the coroorate
limits line of the City of South San Francisco; thence Southwesterly along said cor-
porate limits line to the Southwesterly line of E1 Camino Real; thence Northwesterly along
the Southwesterly line of E1 Camino Real to the Southeasterly line of the aforementioned
62.52 acre tract; thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line of said 62.52 acre
tract to the Northeasterly line of the 80 foot right of way of the City and County of
San Francisco; thence Southeasterly along the Northeasterly line of said 80 foot right
of way to the point of beginning.
~ND, WHEREAS the territory hereinfore described is in fact uninhabited territory; and
WHEREAS said city council has found, and does hereby find, that said ~HE STONECREST
CORPORATION, A corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California, and said
FRED GANTNER, as trustee, are the owners of more than one-fourth (~) of the area of the land herein-
before described and represent more than one-fourth (~) of the assessed value of said territory, ac-
Cording to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of San Mateo~
Said city council hereby designates the territory hereinbefore described as WINSTON
MANOR for the purposes of identification;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that Monday, the 7th
day of August, 1950, at the hour of 8 o'clock p. m. in the council chamber in the City Hall in said
City of South San Francisco be, and the same hereby are fixed as the time and place when and where any
person or persons owning real property within the territory hereinbefore described and so proposed to
be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation of said territory, may appear before
said city council and show cause why said territory should not be so annexed.
The City Clerk o£ said city shall cause a copy of this resolution to be published once
a week for two (2) successive weeks prior to the date last hereinbefore mentioned, in THE SO~H SAN
FRANCISCO ENT~PRISE-JO[~NAL, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in said City
of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the City Council ~of the City of South San Francisco this 17th day of July, 1950, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K. Elder, Adolph Sani, Joseph Bracco
Noes, Councilmen, None.
Absent, Councilmen Emilio Cortesi
