HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1633-1951RESOLUTION NO. 1633 CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION Resolved by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council finds and determines and hereby declares that: Public interest and necessity require the construction of a public street or highway upon the land next and hereafter described. Resolved further that said City of South San Francisco acquire the real property next hereinafter described by conden%uation in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and the Constitution of the State of California relating to eminent domain and prepare and prosecute in the name of The People of the State of 'California, such proceeding or proceedings in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the County of San Mateo, as are necessary for such acquisition; the land last hereinbefore referred to is all that certain tract or parcel of land situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, herein described as follows: COMMENCING at a point in the easterly line of the California State Highway, known as E1 Camino ~eal, said point bearing North 30© 44' 40" ~'~est 483.03 feet from the most westerly corner of that certain tract of land conveyed by the South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, to Tanforan Company Ltd., a corporation, by Deed recorded June 15, 1946 in Book 1279 of Official Records of San Mateo County at page 414 (9642G); thence from said point of commencement North 59° 15' 20" East 220.38 feet; thence North 63° 34' 30" East 612.51 feet to a point in the northwesterly line of the above mentioned tract of land conveyed to Tanforan Company, Ltd., a corporation; thence rur~uing along the above mentioned northwesterly line South 31° 31' 35" West 938.99 feet to the easterly line of E1 Camino Real above mentioned; thence North 30°44' 40" :/~est along said easterly line of E1 Camino Re~l 483.03 feet to the point of commencement. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file a complaint in eminent domain for the purpose of acquiring the land hereinbefore described, and to do all such things as may be necessary to carry into effect ~he purposes of this resolution. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was re~al~rly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, at a regular meeting of said City Council, this 5th day of February, 1951, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K. ~der, Adolph Sani, Joseph Bracco Noes, Councilmen, None Absent, Councilmen~ Emilio Cortesi Attest: DANIEL J.
