RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO DRED CERTAIN SCHOOL DISTRICT
PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO IN EXCHANGE
FOR A DE~D TO CERTAIN PROPERTYOF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO
RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the South San Francisco Unified School District, that
WHEREAS, the South San Francisco Unified School District is the owner of certain real property
situate in said district in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California,
which property is referred to herein as Parcel III and is particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the southerly line of Grand Avenue Extension in the City of South San
Francisco, said point being distant North 75° 28' West 340.00 feet from the intersection of the Westerly
line of Ashtou Avenue with the Southerly line of Grand Avenue Extension running thence South 16° 17' 12"
West 120.00 feet to the Southerly line of Grand Avenue Extension; thence along said Southerly line South
75° 28' East 40.00 feet to the point of beginning known as Lot 6 Grand Avenue Extension Subdivision No. 1.
BEGINNING at a point bearing south 33° 52' 56" East 264.03 feet and north 14° 32' E. 270.65 feet
from the most Southerly corner of Lot 8, Block 2, Map of Regli Tract, filed April 7, 1924 iu Book ll of
Maps at page 63; running thence from said point of beginning north 14° 32' East 141.69 feet; thence south
75° 28' East 191.83 feet thence South 14° 32' West 162.59 feet; thence north 69° 15' West 192.96 feet to
the point of beginning. Containing 0.67 acres of land.
BEGINNING at a point on the Northeasterly line of Mission Road, said point bears south 33° 52' 56"
east 264.03 feet from the most southerly corner of Lot 8 Block 2 Map of Regli Tract filed April 7, 1924 in
Book 11 of Maps at page 63, running thence from said point of beginning north 14° 32' East 270.65 feet;
thence south 69° 15' east 326.25 feet to a point on the Northwesterly line of Ashton Avenue, 391.79 feet to
a point where the Northwest boundary line of Ashton Avenue intersects the Northeast line of Mission Road;
thence North 33o 52' 56" West on and along the said Northeast line of Mission Road, 106.00 feet to the
point of beginning. Containing 1.483 acres of land. Thence South 53° 15' West on and along said Northwest
line of Ashton Avenue;
BEGINNING at a point on the Northeasterly line of Mission Road said point being the most Southerly
corner of Lot 8 Block 2 of Map of Regli Tract, filed April 7, 1924, iu Book ll of Maps at page 63 running
thence North lO° 21' 36" East on and along t~ Easterly line of said Lot 8, 151.42 feet; thence south 74°
07' 22" east 208.49 feet; thence sou~h 14° 32 West 321.43 feet to a point on the said Northeasterly lipe of
Mission Road, thence North 33o 52' 56" West ou and along the said NorthSasterly line of Mission Road 264.03
feet to the point of beginning. Containing 1.09 acres of land.
BEGINNING at a point onAthe Northwesterly line of Ashton Avenue said point bearing South 33° 52'
56" East 370.03 feet and North 53u 15' East 391.7~ feet from the most southerly corner of Lot 8 Block 2 Map
of Regli Tract filed April 7, 1924 in Book ll of Maps at page 63, running thence from said point of begin-
utng Forth 69° 15' West 133.29 feet; thence NoMth 14° 32' East 162.59 feet; thence So~th 75° 28' East

which property is referred to herein as Parcels I and II, and is particularly described as follows:
PARCEL I
BEGINNING at a point which bears north 14° 11' east, 350.09 feet from the intersection of the cen-
terliue of Eucalyptus Avenue with the north line of Miller Avenue, as said avenues are shown on that certain
map entitled, "Map of South San Francisco, Plat No. 1," recorded March l, 1892, iu Book 2 of Maps at page
52, San Mateo County Records; running thence north 9° 45' east 532.76'; thence south 89° 04' east 18.70 feet;
thence on a curve to the right, having a radius of 225.00 feet and a central angle of 19o 24' a distance of
76.18 feet; thence tangent to said curve south 69° 40' east 113.43 feet; theuee on a curve to the right,
having a radius of 125.00 feet and a central angle of 10g° 02'~ a distance of 231.33 feet; thence tangent to
said last curve south 36° 22' west 13.74 feet; thence ou a curve to the left, having a radius of 350.00 feet;
and a central angle of 26° 12', a distance of 160.05 feet; thence tangent to said last curve south lOO 10'
west 71.18 feet; thence on a curve to the left, having a radius of 450.00 feet, a central angle of 16° 00,
and whose chord bears south 2° 10' west 125.25 feet, a distance of 125.66 feet; thence north 74° 27' west,
268.74 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 3.335 acres, more or less.
PARCEL II
BEGINNING at a point on the northwesterly line of School Street said point being the most easterly
corner of the South San Francisco Grammer School District 2.087 Acre Tract iu the City of South San Francisco,
County of San Mateo, State of California, running thence along the northerly bouudary line of said 2.087 acre
tract to the most northerly corner thereof; thence north 31o 35' 2~" east 196.88 feet; thence north 31° 40'
east 161.53 feet; thence southeasterly on a curve with a radius of 1035.00 feet, 125.04 feet, the chord of
said curve bearing south 67° 37' 05" east, 124.96 feet; thence south 71o 05' east 44.08 feet; thence ou a
curve to the right with a radius of 365.feet, 283.06 feet, the chord of sa~d last mentioned curve bears south
48° 52' east 276.02 feet; thence south 26° 39' east 214.10 feet; thence south 58o 48' 18" west 324.45 feet to
the point of beginning. Containing 4.694 acres.
Excepting therefrom the following parcel:
BEGINNING at the most Easterly corner of the hereinabove described 4.694 acre parcel; thence along the
Southwesterly line of Hillside Boulevard and the Northeasterly line of said 4.694 acre parcel of laud North 26°
39' West 176.80 feet; thence South 63° 21' West 43 feet; thence South 26° 39' East 8 feet; thence South 63° 21'
West 6 feet; thence South 26° 39' East 12 feet; thence South 63° 21' West 97 feet; thence South 36o 40' 40" East
168.65 feet to the Southeasterly line of said 4.694 acre parcel of laud; thence along said Southeasterly line
North 580 48' 18" East ll7 feet to the polug of beginning. ~
WHEREAS, it is desirable that an exchange of the properties heretnabove described be made by and between
said school district and said City, pursuant to Sections 18661 et seq. of the Education Code of the State of
California:
NOW, TME. REFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETEEND, AND ORDERED as follows:
1. The real property heretuabove designated as Parcel III is owned by the South San Francisco Unified
School District, and is not at present, and will not at the time of delivery of title or possession to the City of
South San Francisco, be needed for school classroom buildlugs by said school district;
2. It is the intention of this board to transfer to the City of South San Francisco the title to the
school district property hereinabove designated as Parcel III, in exchange for a deed from the City of South San
Francisco which transfers to the school district the title to the property hereinabove designated as Parcels I
and II;
3- At 8 o'clock p. m. on Tuesday, the 20th d~.ay of NAy, 1952, at the regular meeting place of this Board,
Administration Building, City of South San Francisco, California, this Board will hold a public hearing upon the
question of exchanging properties with the City of South San Francisco as herein set forth;
4. The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published in the
Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of geue~at circulation published iu the school district, not less than once a we~k
for three weeks prior to May 20, 1952.
Regularly passed and adopted by the unanimous vote of this Board this 22nd day of April, 1952.

PETITION AND WAIVER
We, the undersigned, SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO LAND AND IMPRO~ CO., a corporation, and E. P. Kauffmann, being
owners of more than eighty-five per cent (85%) of the property in Industrial Acres, South San Francisco, San Mateo
County, California, as per map of the said Industrial Acres recorded in Book 35 of Maps at Pages 10 and 1t, Official
Records of San Mateo County, and within the proposed assessment district as shown on the map entitled: "INDUSTRIAL
ACRES, SOUTH SAN FRANCISC0, CALIFORNIA, Scale 1" equals 100 feet, March, 1952, C. E. Randlett, Civil Engineer", do
hereby petition you to take, continue and complete proceedings under the Improvement Act of 1911, as amended, the
Improvement Bond Act of 1915, as amended, for the improvement of the following named street and public way in said
area designated and known as "Shaw Road", by excavating, grading and the construction therein ~f sanitary sewers,
storm sewers, crusher run pavement with asphaltic concrete surfacing, concrete c%~bs and gutters, together with all
backfilling necessary therefor, together with lamp holes, manholes and catch basins necessary for the foregoing, all
in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor referred to in Resolution of Intention NO. 1762 of the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco.
And we do hereby waive the taking of any and-all proceedings under the Special Assessment Iuvestigatlou,
Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, and any and all irregularities which may exist in said proceedings in
the conduct of or waiver of proceedings under said Investigation Act, and do hereby declare that if postcard notices
were mailed to us under Section 13 of said Act, we would mail to you the return postcards signed by us to the effect
that we would not demand the making of the investigation proceedings iu said act.
