A RESOL~FfION OF THE CI?Y CO~CII~ OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRA5EISCO
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO DO CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT ~'~ORK IN ~{E
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON THIRD LANE FRO~ EUCALYPTUS AVFNUE TO
A POINT 58 FEET OF LAUREIL AVEk~E
WHEREAS public interest and convenience require that the work end improvements herein-
after described should be done;and
~EREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, said
contemplated work and improvement is, and is hereby dedlared, to be of more than local or or-
dinary public benefit; and

NO~V, THEREFORE, RESOLVgD by the City Council ~ the City of South San Francisco that
it is the intention of said city council to order the following work and improvements tobe
done in said city, to wit:
Construction of sto~n drains, gutters ~nd pavement along Third Lane from Eucalyptus
Avenue to a point 58 feet westerly from Laurel Avenue, and constructing a storm drain in
Laurel Avenue.
All the work provided for shall be done in accordance with~he mpecial plans, profiles,
and specification for said work, ~nd ~t the locations and to .the grades mhown upon said plans,
which plans, profiles and specifications were heretofore adopted by said city council on the
20th day of August, 1952, and are now on file in the office of the city clerk of said city.
Reference is hereby made to said plans, profiles and specifications for~a full des-
cription of sadd work and the extent of the work to be done hereunder and for ohs grades at
which said work is to be done, and for a particular description of the boundaries of the dis-
trict herein mentioned. Said city council does h~.e~y determine and declare that said proposed
work znd improvement is of more tha~ local or ordinary public benefit and will affect and be-
nefit the lands and district hereinafter described, which said district is hereby declared to be
the district benefitted by said work and improvements and that, therefore, the entire cost
and expense fo said work and improvement shall be, and hereby are, made chareable against,
and shall be assessed upon, said lands and district, except as hereinafter expressly pro-
vided, which district is within the City of South S~n Francisco, County of San Mateo, State
of California, ~nd particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Block 78, as upon
that certain map entitled "South San Fran, isco, San Mateo County,California,
Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of th e County Recorder $~
San Mateo, California, on March 1, 1892, ~nd recorded in Map Book No. 2 st
page 52; thence westerly along the southerly line of said B!oek 78 to the
southwesterly corner of Lot 16; thence northerly along th e westerly line
of lot 16 and its projection northerly to the northerly line of said block
78; thence easterly along said northerly line to the northeasterly corner
of block 78; thence southerly along the easterly line of said block 78 to
the point of beginning.
Excepting all publio streets, ~venues, thoroughfares, courts, lanes and alleys
included and contained in said district.
Notice is hereby given ~hat serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, and to
bear interest at the rate of five (5) percent per annum, will be issued hereunder in the
manner provided by Division 10 of the Streets and Highways Code, in the Improvement Bond
Act of 1915, and the last installment of such bonds shall mature fourteen (iA) years from
the 2nd day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date.
The South San Francisco Journal-Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in said City of South San Francisco, is hereby designated as the news-
paper in which this resolution of intention shall be published, and the city clerk is here-
by directed to cause this resolution to be published by two (2) insertions in the marker
and form required by law.
Said City Clerk is also directed to mail a notice of the adoption of said resolu-
tion of intention, postage prepaid, to all persons owning property which is proposed to be
assessed to p~y any part of the cost of said work,~whose names and addresses appear on that
last equalized assessment roll or as ~nown to said city clerk.
The superintendent of streets shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line
of said contemplated wor~ or improvement, ~nd not more than three hundred (300) feet in dis-
tance apart, but not less than three(3), and along all the open streets within said district
at not more th~n three hundred (300) feet in distance apart on each said street, notices of
the p~ssage of this resolution of intention, in th~ manne~ ~d form required by the Improve-
ment Act of 1911.~
Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the &th day of Au$~st, 1952, at the hour of
8 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber of said city council of the City of South San Francisc°,
any and all persons having any objections to the proposed wor~ and improvements may appear
before said city council s~nd show cause w~y said proposed work and improvement should not
be carried out in accordance with this resolution.
Exceot as hereinbefore provided , all eft. the herein proposed ~ork shsll be done
pursuant to an act of the legislature of the State of California designated as "Improvement
Act of 1911".
I hereby'~certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and sd-
opted by the 0ity Council of the 0ity of South San Francisco, this 19th day of July, 1952,
by the follo~ring vote:
