HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1819-1952 RESOLUTION NO. 1819 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CO~CIL OF THE CITY OF S~!TH SAN FRANCISCO ADOPTINC PLANS ~) SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTABLISHING A WAGE SCALE FOR ALL WORK TO BE PERFORMED IN CONNF£TION ~ITH THE CONSTHUCTION OF AN ~DITION OR EXTENSION TO THE EXISTING PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SAID CITY. WHEREAS Louis Baldini, a duly qualified and licensed architect, who has heretofore been engaged by the City of South San Francisco ss the s rchitect for the preparation of plans aad specifications for an addition or extension e, t~e existing public library o~ said city, has prepared plans and specifications for the construction of such addition or extension to said public library,and whereas the City Council oI' the City of South San Francisco has reviewed said plans and specifications and has duly considered t he same; and ~W~EREAS said Louis Baldini, as the architect for said construction work, has ascertained the general provailing rate of per diem wages in t~Le locality in which public worm is proposed to be performed forthe construction of said addition or extension to the public library of said city, and whereas this City Council has duly considered said wage scale and finds the same to be correct in all particulars, RESOLVED by the City Council of the City ~ South San Francisco that said City Council does hereby approve said plans and specifications and does adopt the same as the plans andspecifications for the performance of said public work and,~urther, does hereby find, determine, and order that said wage scale, as so determined by said architect, which wage scale is se~ forth in said plans and specifications for the performance of the work above described, is hereby adopted as the prevailing rate of per diem waggs for the performance of work of a similar character to that above described, in the locality in which such public work is proposed to be performed, and that not less than said general prevailing rate oI° per d~em wages shall be paid for the performance of any of such work. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City o£ South San Francisco this 6th day of October, 1952, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Adolph San. i, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith, Emilio Cortesi Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen John Noonan Attest: Arthur A.
