A RESOL~fION OF INTENTION TO VACATE P!~BLIC ROADWAY
OR THOROUGHFARE ENO~N AS "SAN BR!~O ROAD" AND LYING
~ITHIN THE CITY OF SO~H SAN FRANCISCO.
RESOLVED by the. City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation in the
County of San Mateo, State of California, as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of said City Council to order the following public roadway or thorough- ~
fare, known as San Bruno Road, in said City to be vacated:
Ail that certain real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San
Mateo, State ef California, described as follows:
Ail that portion of San Bruno Road included ~ithin San Mateo County Parcel 26, "South San Francisco
~ .~ ~ ~ Harsh Lands" as per deed from Spring Valley Water Company to the City and County of San
Francisco dated March 3, 1930 and recorded March 3, 1930, in Volume &91, at page 1, Official
Records of San Mateo County, California, described as, COMMENCING at a point on the easterly
line of said San Bruno Road, being the northwest corner of that certain 3.3&1 acre portion
of said Parcel 26 as described in the deed from the City and County of San Francisco to Ed
R. Guerin et ux dated November 3, 19&8 and recorded November 2~, 19~8, in Volume 1596, at
page 5&&, Official Records of San Marco Co.~nty, California; running thence south 89° 5&'
west 33.01 feet to the center line of said road; thence along said center line north 1° 22'
5&" east 132.9~ feet and north ~o 13' 11" east 2~.59 feet; thence leaving said center line,
north 73°&1'15" west 33 feet, more or less, to the westerly line of said San Bruno Road; thence
northerly along last named line to the westerly boundary of said Parcel 26; thence northeasterly
along last named line to the easterly line of said San Bruno Road; thence southerly along last
named line to the point of commencement.
Section 2. Said City Council hereby fixes Monday, the 2nd day of March, 1953, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber, City Hall, in said City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo,
State of California, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the
vacation of said M~blic roadway or thoroughfare.
Section 3~ Notices of the passage of this resolution of i~tention, giving the time and place of
hearing thereon, shall be conspicuously posted along the line of s~id public roadway or thoroughfare, at not
more than THREE HUNDHED (300) feet in distance apart, and not less than THHEE (3) in all.
Section A. The action hereby taken by said City Council is pursuant to that certain~t of the
legislature of the State of California known as the "Street Vacation Act of 19dl", the same being Division
9, Part 3, of the Streets and Highways ~ode of the State of California.
Section 5. This resolution of intention shall be ~blished by one (1) insertion in the SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO ENTEHPRISE JOURNAL, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in said City of
South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco this 2nd day of February, 1953, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith
