HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1891-1953RESOLUTION NO. 1891 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING RUBBISH, REFUSE, AND DIRT UPON PA3X~AYS, PARCELS OF LAND, AND SIDEWALKS TO BE PUB- LIC NUISANCE AND FIXING TIME FOR PUBLIC HEARING. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: Said city council hereby determines that weeds which will attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry are now ~rowing upon streets, parkways, sidewalks, and private property in the City of South Ssn Francisco, and also deter- mines that there is rubbish, refuse, and dirt upon parkways, sidewalks, and private property in said city, and declares said weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt to be a public nuisance, which must be abated by their removal. Otherwise, said weeds, rub- bish, refuse, and dirt will be removed and the nuisance abated by the city author- ities, and the cost and expenses of such removal shall be assessed upon all lots of land from or in front of which such weeds, ~bbish, refuse, or dirt are removed, and such cost will constitute a lien upon such land until the same is paid. Said city council hereby fixes Monday, the 1st day of June, 1953, at the hour of 8o'clock p.m., and the council chamber in the city hall of said city as the time and place when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed removal of said weeds, rubbish, refuse, and ~irt may appear before said city council and show cause why the work of said proposed removal of weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt shall not be carried out in accordance with this resolution. The city clerk is hereby directed to cause this resolution to be published by two (2) insertions in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper ef general circulation, published and circulated in said city. Such publication shall be entitled "NOTICE TO DESTROY W.~EDS AND RD~'OVE RUBBISH, REFUSE, AND DIRT", and such title or caption shall appear in bold print. * * **** ** ** * ** I hereb? certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San FranCisco, this 18th day of May, 1953, by the following vote: AYES.: Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco NOES: Councilmen None ABS~T: Councilmen Telford Smith ~0LUTION NO. 1892 A RESOLUTION OF ~E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEM~T BE~E~ SAID CITY.. A~.~ THE STATE P~R- SONNEL BOARD PROVIDING FOR THE M~KING OF A Sb~VE~ AND ANALYSIS OF ALL POSITIONS OF ~4PLO~4~NT IN SAID CITY AND T}~E PREPARING OF A CLASSIFICATION AND COMPenSATION PLAN WITH R~PECT THFRETO. WHERF~S STATE P~RSONNEL BOARD, an agency of the State of California, has offered to make a surgey and job analysis of all positions of employment with the City of South San Francisco and to prepare a classification ~nd compensation plan with respect to said positions; and ~,~HEHEAS no such survey, analysis, or classification has heretofore been made, ~nd whereas the cost thereof is estimated to be less than the sum of EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($800.00), NO?~, THi~EFORE, BE IT N.ESOLVED B~ Zhe City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city council does find it to be in the best interests of said city and of the taxpayers thereof to arrange for a survey, analysis, and classification, as above mentioned, and in that connection said city council does deem it advisable to engage said STATE ?ERSONNEL BOARD to perform such survey, analysis, and classification, said board being an experienced and competent organization in that regard. BE IT FURTHER HESOLVED that said city council authorize the execution of a contract, in the form submitted by said STATE PERSONNEL BOARD and presently on file with the city clerk of said city, whereby said city engages said STATE PER- SONNEL BOARD to ~ke the aforesaid survey, analysis, and classification.
