A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DIRECTING PROCEEDINGS TO ABATE
PUBLIC NUISANCE IN SAID CITY.
~EREAS Ricardo Vasquez is the owner of, and as such is maintaining, a group of nine
(9) apartments at No. 503 Bayshore Bo~leVard, City of South San Francisco, County of San
Mateo, State of California, which apartments are occupied by adults and children, which
have a number of gas stoves and heater appliances %~ith no vents and n~ cut-off valves,
in which there is one gas heater connected with a rubber hose, and in which there are a
number of overloaded electrical circuits; and
~.5~EAS said premises are of frame construction, surrounded by litter and rubbish
constituting a serious fire hazard; and
~EREAS only one toilet is available for all apartments for the use of women and
one for the use of men; and
~HER~_AS there are other unhealthful and unsightly conditions existing in and about
said premises,
NO~r, TP~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of South San Francisco that said
City Council does hereby determine that the foregoing situation constitutes a public
nuisance; and therefore, the City Council declares it is necessary to commence an action
in the Superior Court of the State of California in and for the County of San Mateo to
abate said nuisance.
BE IT FURTH~_'~R R.~H. OLVED that the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, directed to
bring th9 action ordered.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 15th day of June 1953 by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith
NOES: Cour~cilmen None
