A R~OLTUION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH 3AN FP~NCISCO REQUESTING THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA TO p-i RMIT SAID CITY TO P~,Y FOR
RECON3TRUCTION OF GP~ND AVE~E (FROM B~YSHORE
BOULEVARD TO SPRUCE AVE~N3E) OUT OF STATE GAS-
OLINE TAX REFUND MONE~ ALLOCATED TO NFW CON-
STRUCTION AND RECONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco did hereto fore apportion the sum of TWELVE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($12,000.00) from major city street monies for the reconstruction of
Grand Avenue in said city from the int eresection thereof with Bayshore Boulevard to the
interesection thereof with Spruce Avenue; and
%fHEREAS said recenstruction work was for the general welfare and public good; and
WHP~{EAS said city did previously allocate TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($12,O00.OO) for
the reconstruction of Grand Avenue between Bayshore ~oulevard and Spruce Avenue as Pro-
Ject No. 17 of the Memorandum of Agreement for Major City Streets, 1950 fiscal year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RF$OLV~ by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that said city request the Honorable Earl Warre~, Govenor of the State of California to
sign Assembly Bill No. 3~97 authorizing the expenditure of State Gasoline Tax Refund Money
for the reconstruction of Grand Avenue in s~id city, as aforesaid, from the city's share
of State Gasoline Tax Money allocated to the city for new projects, this approval to
validate, ratify, and confirm the apportionment of Such sum of money from said fund for
said street reconstruction project.
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby requests the Honorable
Earl Warren, Govenor of the State of California, to affix his signature to the aformentioned
Assembly Bill No. 3&97. Further, the City Clerk of said city is hereby instructed to for-
ward to the Honorable Earl Warren, Governor of theState of California, a certified copy of
this resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regulsrly introduced andadopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Erancisce, at a regularly adjourned meeting held
on the 23rd day of June, 1953.
