HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1921-1953 RESOLUTION NO. 1921 A RESOLUTIO~ ORD~HING TH~ VACATION OF A PORTION OF A PUbLiC ROADWAY OR THOROUGH- FARE KNOWN AS RANDOLPH AVENUE AND LYING WITHIN THE CITY OF~ SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 6th day of July, 1953, adopt a resolution declaring its intention to order the ~acation of a p~tion of apublic roadway or thoroughfare known as Randolph Avenue and lying within ~he City of South San Francisco and more particularly described on the attached document marked Exhibit "A", by this reference made a part hereof; AND WHEREAS said resolution of inSen~ion was published and ~no~ice of the passage of said resolution of intention was posted in the manner and form required .by law, reference beimg hereby made to the affidavit of Raymond J. Volkman and the affidavit of Hazel Taverner, which affidavits are now on file in,he office of the city clerk of said city; AND WHEHEAS a public ~hearing was held at a regular meeting in the City Hall of said City on ~he 3rd day of August, 1953, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., which hearin~ was continued un~il ~he 17th day of August, 1953; and whereas no protests, oral or written, were made against the closing of said oortion of Randolph Avenue; and WHEREAS said City Council has determined, and does hereby de~ermine, ~hat said ouhlic street is unnecessary for present or prospective oublic street purposes; 246 NOW, THEREFORE, said City Council hereby orders that said public street be, and the same herein is, vacated and abandoned~ I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the Cit? Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 17th day of August, 1953, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None Attest: Arthur A. Rodondi City Clerk EXHIBIT A All that real property in the City ~f South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, described as follows: PARCEL I: Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of Lot 60, Block A as shown upon that certain map entitled "Peck's Subdivision No. 1" recorded in Volume 5 of Maps at page 11, San Mateo County Records; thence North 76° &l' 30" West 10~39 feet; thence Northwesterly along a curve to the right with a radius of 270 feet tangent to the nreceding course &9.89 feet to the Easterly line of Lot 23, Block V as shown uoon said map of Peck's Subdivision No. 1; thence along said easterly line North 13° 22' 06" East 35.&O feet; thence North ~6e ~' 30" West 91.86 feet to the northeasterly line of Randolph Avenue and the westerly corner of Parcel A shown upon that certain map entitled "Peck's Heights" recorded in Volume 36 of Maps at page 27, San Mateo County Records; thence Northwesterly along a curve to the right with a radius of 270 feet from a radical line bearing North 4&° 53' &i" East, an arc distance of &2.13 feet; thence northeasterly along a reverse cur~e to the left with a radius of 330 feet, an arc distance of 61.20 feet to the Northerly line of Randolph Avenue shown upon said map of Peck's Subdivision No. 1; thence along said Northerly line South 76° 41' 30" East 235.87 feet to the Northwesterly corner of the aforesaid Lot 60; thence along the westerly line of said lot 60 South 13° 22' 06" West 100 feet to the point of beginning.
