A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TPE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
SELL OR TRANSF~;R CERTAIN PUBLIC PROPERTY OWNER
BY SAID CITY, TO-WIT: A PORTION OF HOLLY AVENUE,
A PUBLIC STREET LYING WITHIN SAID CITY.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal
corporation in the County of San Mateo, State of California:
Section 1. It is the intention of said City Council to order the f~llowlng
described publicly owned real property of the City of South San Francisco to be
sold or transferred to Stoneson Development Company and Pacific Coast Construction
Company, California corporations, in exchange for certain real property lowned by
said Stoneson Development Comoany and Pacific Coast Construction Company to be
utilized for the relocation of said Holly Avenue.
All that certain real property situate in the City. of South San.Francisco, C9unty
of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows:
Being a portion of that certain 50 foot road conveyed by F. R. Cat:on to the
County of San Mateo dated and recorded May 19, 1887 in Book &2 of Deeds at page 195
of San Mateo County, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point
on the northwesterly line of 'said 50 foot road said point being distant South
&6° 52' 20" East a distance of 13.80 feet and North &O° 10' East a distance of
259.2& feet from the most easterly corner of Lot 8 Block 3 as shown on a m~p
entitled "WESTVIEW TERRACE SOUTH SANFRANCISCO SAN MATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA*', recorded
at Map Book 36 at page 36 San Mateo County Records. Thence from said point of
beginning along a said northwesterly line North &Oo 10' East a distance of 633.~2
feet to the northeasterly termination of said road; thence South &9o &&,' 11" West
a distance of 50 feet to the southeasterly line of said road; thence South &O° 10'
West a distance of 921.10 feet to a point; thence northeasterly on the arc of a
curbe to the ~ft, said curve having a radius of 10&O.O0 feet, a central angle of
5°nO1' &2" and a center which bears North 55° 27' l&" West from the last mentioned
noint, a distance of 91.27 feet; thence North 29° 31' O&" East a distance of 200.70
feet to the point of beginning, containing 8.882 acres.
Section 2. Said City Council hereby fixes Monday, the 5th day of October, 1953,
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, in said
City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, as the time
and place for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the sale or trans-
fer of said nublicly owned real property, and final action in said matter will be
taken by said City Council immediately upon the close of said hearing.
Section 3. The action hereby taken by said City Council is pursuant to the
probisions of Title &, Division 3, Part 2, Ghapter 5, A~icle 3 of the Government
Code of the State of California.
Section ~. Notices of the passage of this resolution of.intention, giving the
time and place of hearing hhereon, shall be conspicuously posted in at least three
(3) places upon the real property hereinbefore described for at least ten (10)
days prior to said hearing.
Section 5. This resolution of intention shall be published by one (1) insertion
in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated
in said City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 8th day of
September, 1953, by the following vote:
