A RESOLUTION OF T~E CITY COUNCIL OF~'THE
CITY OF SOUTt~ SAN FRANCISCO ORDERING Tt~E
SALE OR TRANSFEr{ OF A PORTIO}J OF SAN BRUNO
ROAD, A PU~LIC f~OADWAY LYING ~,~ITHIP~ SAID
CITY, TO THE CITY AND COU~ITY OF SAN FRA~'~CISCO

BY SAID CITY AND C UNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO,
AND FOR OTHER GOOD AND VALUABLE CONSIDERATION.
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of October, 1953, a public hearing was held
pursuant to the provisions of Title 4, Division 3, Part 2, Chapter 5,
Article 3 of t}~e Government Code of the State of California, at which all
persons having any objections to the sale or transfer of the ~ublicly owned
real property of the City of South San Francisco comprising a portion of
San Bruno Road, a oublic roadway in said city, which portion is hereinafter
more particularly described, were offered an opportunity to be hearing was
continued until the 19th day of October, 1953; and.
WHEREAS no one did a}}~ear to object to said proposed sale or transfer,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said City Council does hereby order
that said publicly owned property of the City of South San Francisco be sold
or transferred to the City and County of San Francisco.
Said real property to be sold or transferred is particularly described
as follows:
Ail that certain real property situate in the
City of South San Francisco, County of San }~teo,
State of California, described as follows:
Ail that portion of San Bruno Road included
within San Mateo County Parcel 26, "South San
Francisco ~arsh Lands" as per deed from Spring
~ Valley Water Company to the City and County of
San Francisco dated March 3, 1930, and recorded
~,~rch 3, 1930, in Volume ~91, at page 1, Official
Records of San Mateo County, California, described
as, COI'~'~E~!CING at a Doint on the easterly line of
said San Bruno Road, being the northwest corner of
that certain 3.3~1 acre portion of said Parcel 26
as described in the deed from the City and County
of San Francisco to Ed. R. Guerin et ux dated
November 3, 19~8 end, recorded November 2~, 19~8,
in Volume 1596, at page 5~, Official Records of
San Marco Co,~nty. California; running thence south
89° 5~' west 33.61 feet to the center line of said
road; thence along said center li~'~e north lO 22' 5~
east 132.9~ feet and north ~o 13' 11" east 2~.59
feet; thence leaving said center line, north 73° ~1'
15~ west 33 feet, more or less, to the westerly line
of said San Bruno Road; thence northerly along last
named line to the westerly boundary of said ?arcel
26; thence northeasterly along last named line to
the easterly line of said San Bruno Road; thenc~
southerly along last named line to the point of
commencement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED t~'~t said City Council does hereby determine
that ~ublic interest, convenience, and necessity require the sale or trans-
fer of said publicly owned real property. The consideration to be given by
said C~ty and County of San Francisco for s~id real property consists of the
transfer of certain real'property to the City of South San Francisco for
the relocation of San Bruno ^~enue, which transfer was completed by grant deed
dated , 1953, and executed in favor of said City of South
San Francisco by the City and County of San Francisco. Said deed was accepted by
the City of South San Francisco by resolution dated , 1953.
Reference is here made to said deed for a particular description of said real
property.
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that said city execute its deed transferring to said
City andCounty of San Francisco all the real property ~ereinbefore described.
In this connection, the mayor and t~e city clerk of siad city are hereby author-
ized to execute on behalf of said c~ty a deed conveying to said City and County
of San Francisco said real property, and the city clerk is also hereby directed
to affix to said deed the corporate seal of said city. Further, the city clerk
is instructed to cause said deed, to~ether with a certified copy of this reso-
lution, to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of San Marco County.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was .regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 19th
day of October, 1953, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford
Smith.
Noes, Councilmen None.
Absent, Councilmen None.
