A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRA~CISCO DECLAR'ING ITS INTENT-
ION TO VACATE A CERTAIN PUBLIC SANITARY AND
STORM SEWER EASEMENT LYING WITHIN SAID CITY.
RESOLVED. by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal
corporation in the County of San Mateo, State of California, as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of said city council to order the vacation
and abandonment of a certain public sanitary and storm sewer easement lying with-
in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California,
particularly described as follows:
A strip of land 20 feet wide, measured ten
feet at right angles on either side of the
following described centerline. Beginning
at a point on the southerly line of Swift
Avenue, said point being distant North 89°
52' 30" East 93.39 feet from the intersection
of the said southerly line of Swift Avenue
and the easterly line of the Southern Pacific
Company's right of way; running thence from said
point of beginning South 16° 13' 26" East
9&5.90 feet to a point in the northerly line
of the right of way of the South San Francisco
Belt Railways.
Section 2. Said city council hereby fixes Thursday the 5th day of November,
1953, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock p,m., in the City Hall of said City of South
San Francisco, County of San ~teo, State of California, as the time and place
for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the vacation of s aid
public easement.
Section 3. Notices of the p~ssage of this resolution of intention, giving
the 6ime and place of hearing thereon, shall be conspicuously posted along the
lines of said public easement for at least ten {10) days prior to said hearing,
and not morethan three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and not less than
three (3) in all.
Section ~. The action hereby taken by said City Council is in pursuance to
that certain act of the Legislature of the State of California known as the "Street
Vacation Act of 19&l", the same being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
Section 5. This resolution of int~ntionshall be oublished by one (1) insert-
ion in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general cir-
culation published and circulated in the City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regul~rly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the Cit~ of South San Francisco, this 19th
day of October, 1953, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco,
Telford Smith.
Noes, Councilmen None
Absent, Councilmen None
