A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN. FRANCISCO ACCEPTING AND ADOPTING PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS AS PREPARED BY THE WORKS EN-
GINEER FOR THE WIDENING OF "B" STREET FROP~ ORANGE
AVENUE TO 325 FEET SOUTH-EACTERLY FROM ORANGE AVE-
NUE IN SAID CITY, AND ESTABLISHING A WAGE SEALE
FOR ALL SUCH WORK.
WHEREAS the Works Engineer of the City of South San Francisco has filed
with the city clerk of said city plans and specifications for the widening of
"B" Street from Orange Avenue to 325 feet southeasterly from Orange Avenue in
said city as part of the major street repair work to be performed in said city
during the year 1953; and
WHF~(EAS the Works Engineer of said city has ascertained the general pre-
vailing rate of per diem waEes in the~ locality in which the aforementioned
public work is proposed to be performed, and which wage scale is set forth in
the plans and specifications for such work; and
WHEREAS this city council has duly considered said plans'and specifications
and said wage s~ale and finds the same to be correct in all oarticulars~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that said city council does hereby accept and adopt the plans and sp-
ecifications as prepared by the works engineer for the hereinbefore described
work, which plans and specifications are on file with the city clerk of said
city. ~
BE IT FURTHEH RESOLVED that said city council does hereby find, detemine, snd
order that si~d wage scale above mentioned is hereby,~ doDted as the prevailing
rate of Der diem wages for the performance of work of a similar character to
that a~ove descirbed in the locality in which such nublic work ~is proposed to
be performed, and that not less than said general prevailing rate of per diem
wages shall be paid for the performance of any of the public work herein mentioned.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re-
gular meeting, this 19th day of October, 1953, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco,
Telford Smith.
Noes, Councilmen None.
