A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE WIDENING OF
"B" STREET FROM ORANGE AVENUE TO 325 FEET SOUTHEASTERLY
FROM ORANGE AVENUE IN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of-South San Francisco, did, in open
session, on the 5th day of November, 1953, publicly open, examine, and declare
all sealed proposals or bids for doing work and improvement, and for the furnishing
of all materials, labor, and e~uipment necessary for the doing of said work and
improvement, in said city;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that said city council hereby rejects
all of said propbsals or bids except that herein mentioned and hereby awards the
contract for doing said work and making said improvement and for the furnishing
of all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the doing of said work
or improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit: SP~ERRY & McCUE CONTRACTORS,
at the prices named in their bi~ on file in the ~ffice of the city clerk.
Upon the filing of proper bonds by said sucessful bidder with the city clerk
of said city, the mayor is hereby authorized to execute the contract for doing
said work and improvement, and said city clerk is hereby directed to affix thereto
the official seal of said city.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted at an ad jo rned reg~lar meeting of the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco held on the 5th day of November, 195~, by the following vote, towit:
Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco,
Telford Smith.
Noes, Councilmen None
Absent, Councilmen None
