A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
SAID CITY AND THE STONESON DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION WITH RESPECT TO THE PAYMENT

OF A PORTION OF THE COST OF INSTALLING
S~ORM SE%~fERS IN, ABOUT, AND IN THE
VICINITY OF, "WESTVIEW TERRACE SUBDIVI-
SION NO. 1" AND PROPOSED "WESTVIEW
TERRACE SUBDIVISION NO. 2" IN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS T}~] STONESON DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ha~ r~quested the City of
South San Francisco to accept ~11 public improvements constructed and installed
in that certain subdivision known as "Westview Terr.~ce Subdivision No.. 1"; and'
WHEREAS a storm drainage problem exists in, about,, and in the vicinity of
said "Westview Terrace Subdivision No. 1" and proposed "Westview Terrace Sub-
division No. 2" which problem, it is deemed, has been p~rtlv caused, and con-
tributed to, by the development in said "Westview Terrace Subdivision No. 1" and,
it is believed, will be further accentuated by the develgpment of said proposed
"Westview Terrace Subdivisibn No. 2"; and
WHEREAS it is deemed necessary for the city council of said city to protect
the property of said city as well as the welfare and pro.pert'y of individual citizens
by the installation of ~dequate storm drainage facilities in, about, and in
the surrounding vicinity of said subdivision and said proposed subdivision; and
WHEREAS said THE STONESON DEVELOPMENT CORPC~ATION has a~greed to e~nter into
an agreement by the terms of which said corporation shall, after the installation
of storm drainage facilities ms proposed by Louis Goss, Director of Public Works
~£ said city, the estimated total cost of which is in excess of EIGHTY-TWO THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($82,000.00), and upon demand, reimburse said city for a percentage (as
set forth in said agreement) of said total cost, which, it is agreed,~ shall not
exceed the sum of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,OO0.00), and whereas said corporation
has agreed to support said a'greement by a surety bond in the principal sum of TEN
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,OO0.00}i,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of said city that said
city enter into such an agreement with said THE STONESON DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
and accept a surety bond as hereinbefore mentioned. In this connection, the mayor
of said city is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of said city,
and the city clerk is hereby directed to attest to said agreement, affixing thereto
the corporate seal of said city.

adooted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meet-
