A RESOLUTION OF TttE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO CONSTRUCT AN INDUSTRIAL SANITARY SEWERAGE
SYSTEM AND INDUSTRIAL SEWAGE PUMPING STATIONS
IN THE INDUSTRIAL AREA OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO LYING EASTERLY OF BAYSHORE FREEWAY
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California,
that in its opinion the public interest and convenience require, and that it is the
intention of said City Council, to ~rder the following improvements to be made,to wit:
1. The improving of the industrial area of the City of South San Francisco by the
construction of an industrial sanitary sewerage system, consisting of sewer lines, man-
holes, Dumping stations with necessary pumps, bar screens, grit removal equipment, and
other necessary aDnurtenances, all of which improvement work is to be performed in that
portion of the industrial '~rea in the City of South San Francisco, lying, generally,
speaking, East of Bayshore Freeway, and extending to theSan Francisco Bay on the North
and East, and on the South to a line running generally parallel to Colma Creek, and
being South thereof approximately 800 feet.
2. The performing of all work auxiliary to any of the above which may be necessary
to complete the same.
3. Ail said work and improvements are to be constructed at the places and in the
particular locations, of the forms, sizes, and demensions and materials, and at the lines,
grades and elevations, as shown and delineated upon the plans, profiles, and specifi-
cations to be made therefor, '~s hereinafter provided.
&. There is to be excepted form the work above described any of such work already
done to line and grade, and marked ~xcepted or shown not to be done on said plans, pro-
files, and specifications.
5. Said City Council does hereby adopt and establish as the official grades for
said work the grades and elevations to be shown uoon said plans, profiles, and specifi-
cations. Ail such grades and elevations are to be in feet and decimals thereof with
reference to the datum Diane of theCity of South San Francisco.
6. Notice is hereby given of the fact that in nany cases said work and improvement
will bring the finished ~rade to a grade d~rerent from that foremerly existing, and that
to said exten~ said gr~'~des are hereby chaD%ed and th~ said work will be done to said
changed grades.
7. Said contemplated work, acquisitions, and improvements, in the opinion of said
City Council, are of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and said City Council
does hereby make the expenses of acquisitions and improvements chargeable upon a district
benefited %hereby, which district lies wholly within the City of South San Francisco,
County of San MateD, State of C~lifornia, and is particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line
of East Grand Avenue with the easterly line of Bayshore
Freeway; thence southerly along said easterly line of
Bayshore Freeway 15OO feet, more or less, to its inter-
section with the northeast, fly line of South Airport
Boulevard at the southwest~-ly corner of Parcel 60, Zone I;
thence southeasterly, along the northeasterly line of
South Airnort Boulevard 330 feet, more or less, to the
southerly corner of Parcel 60; thence southerly along
the easterly line of South Airport Boulevard 12&O
feet, more or less, to an angle point in said easterly
line, which point lies about 9OOfeet southerly of Golma
Creek; thence East 2000 feet, more or less, to the south-
westerly line of the old road known as Macco Road; thenc.~
southeasterly along said southwesterly line of Macco Road

South San Francisco Sewage Treatment Plant property
(Parcel 76, Zone I); thence along said northerly line

8. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to reoresent unpaid assessments,
and bear interest ~t the rate of not to exceed five per cent (5%) per annu~, will be
issued hereunder in the manner orovided by the Refunding ~ssessment Bond Act of 1935
as modified in the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913, the last installment of which
bonds shall mature fourteen (l&) years from the second day of July next succeeding
ten months from their date.
9. Except as herein otherwise nrovided for the issuance of bonds, all the work
above mentioned shall be done oursuant to the orovisions of the Municipal Improvement
Act of 1913, as amended.
10. Reference is here made to that certain resolution of said City Council which
is numbered 1983 and which was adopted on the 10th day of March, 195&, wherein said
City Council ma~e findings and determined that~proceedings pursuant to Division & of
the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California are, insofar as this improve-
ment pro~jedt is concerned, unnecessary.
ll. Said proposed improver~ents a-~e hereby referred to C. E. RAI~DLETT, the licensed
engineer employed b?' the City of South San Francisco, as the engineer for the instant
improvement project, and who has been design%ted by the said City Council as the person
having charge and control of the construction of public improvements in and for ~said
City of the kind described herein, he being a competent person employed by said City
for that purpose; and said C. E. RANDLETT is hereby directed to make and file ,~ith the
City C&erk of ~id City a report in writinK, oresenting the following;

(a) Plans and specifications of the proposed improvements to be made nursuant
to this Resolution of Intention;
(b) Engineer's statement of the intemized and total estimated costs and expenses
of said improvements and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith;
(c) Diagram showing the assessment district above referred to, and also the
boundaries and dimensions of the respective subdivisions of land within said district
as the same existed at the time of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, each of
which subdivisions shall be given a separate number upon said diagram;
(d) A proposed assessment of the total amount of the costs and expenses of the
proposed improvements upon the several subdivisions of land in said district ~in proportion
to the estim.~/ted benefits to be-received by such subdivisions, respectively, from said
improvements, and of the expenses incidental thereto.
12. If any excess shall be realized from the assessment, it shall be spent for
the r~aintenance of said improvements, unless said City Council shall hereafter determine
that said amount or any part thereof shall be applied as a credit to each assessment
herein.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted bM the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meek-
