A RESOLUTION OF T~Z CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO APPOINTING
TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING PROTESTS WITH RES-
PECT TO PROPOSED IMPROVEI'~]NT OF INDUSTRIAL
AREA LYING EAST OF BAYSHORE FREEWAY IN
-SAID CITY BY INSTALLING IN SAID AREA AN
INDUSTRIAL SEWERAGE SYSTEM AND SEWAGE
PU~PING STATIONS, AND DIRECTING THE MAIL-
ING OF NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California
that
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 1987 of this City Council adopted
on the iSth day of March, 1954, pursuant to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913, as
amended, C. E. RANDLETT has filed with the City Clerk of this City the written report
called for under Section 2 of said Act, and by said Resolution of Intention, which re-
port has been presented by said City Clerk to this City Council for consideration, and
this City Council has considered and preliminarily approved and confirmed sadi report
without modification, and ordered t~,at the same stand as the report for the purposes
of all subsequent proceedings had pursuant to said Resolution of Intention:
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Thursday, the 15th day of April, 1954 , at the
hour of 3:0OP.M., in the regulator meeting place of this City Co~:ncil at the Council Chambers
in the City Hall in the City of South San Francisco, California be, and the same are
hereby, appointed and fixed as the time and place for hearing protests in relation to
the proposed acquisitions and improvements called~for un, er said Resolution of Intention
~nd more psrticularly provided for in said report.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the City Clerk of this City be, and he is, hereby directe~
to ~ive notice of said hearing by two successive insertions in the South San Francisco
Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper published and ciroulated in said City, and by con-
spicuously posting same along all the open streets within assessment district at not more
than three hundred (300) feet apart, and not less than three(3) i-n all; said posting
and publication to be had and completed at leant twenty(20) days before the date herein
set for hearing of protests.
IT IS FURTHER ORDEIIED that said notices shall be headed "Notice of Improvement,"
in letters of not less than one (1) inch in height, and shall, in legible character,
state the fact and date of the passage of the Resolution of Intention and of the filing
of said report and of the dnte, ho~r, and place set for the hearing of said protests,
and briefly describe the improvements proposed to be made, and refer to said Resolution
of Intention and report for further particulars,
IT IS FURTHER ORDE}~!ED that the City Clerk of the City shall mail or cause to be
mailed notices of the adoption of said Resolution of Intention and the filing of sa~d
report, upstage prepaid., at lea~t twenty (20) days before the date set for hearing
of said protests, to all persons owning real property to be assessed whose names and
addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for City taxes prior thereto
or as known to the City Clerk of said City, which notice shall contain a statement of
the time, place, and purpose of the hearing on said Resolution of Intention and report
and a statement of the total estimated cost of the proposed improvement, the amount,
as shown b~ ~said report, to be assessed against the particular parcel covered by the
notice, together with a statement that any person interested may file a protest in
writing as provided in said act.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adooted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a meeting held
this 15th dam of March, 1954, by the following vote:
