A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO LIM-
ITING THE TE~ OF MAYOR TO ONE YEAR.
AND PROVIDING FOR THE SELECTION OF A
MAYOR AT THE SECOND REGULAR MEETING
IN THE MONTH OF APRIL OF EACH YEAR
OT}~R THAN THE YEAR IN V~ICH A GEN-
ERAL ELECTION IS HELD.
WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the best interest of the people of the City of
South San Francisco and for their betterment and general welfare that the term of mayor
be limited to one year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco that said City Council does hereby establish the term of mayor of said City as one
year, extending from the second regular meeting of said City Council in the month of April
of each year to the same time in the month of Anril in the succeeding year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said City Council shall elect a mayor at the second
regular meeting in the month of April of each year other than the years in which general
municipal elections are held, as well as in the latter years.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regul,~rly adjourned meeting held
this 20th day of April, 1954, by the following vote:
Ayes, CoUncilmen John Noonan, Francis Lucchio, Telford Smith, Emilio Cortesi, George Bosworth.
Noes, Councilmen None
