SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DET~]RMINING TO UNDERTAKE
PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT ~ APPROPRIATE SPECIAL
ASSESS~.~ENT AND ASSESSi~NT ~ND ACTS ~R THE
CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC IMPROV~NTS %'~THOUT
PROCEEDINGS UNDER DIVISION & OF THE STREETS /~ i~ .... ". _

BE IT RE~LVED by the Cigy Co~cil of Dh~ City
of South San Fr~cisco, California,that:
~REAS H.D. CHOPE, ~he Director of Public Health
and h~elfare of the County of San Mateo,who performs the duties
of Health Officer of the City of South S~ Francisco,as well
as said County,has reco~ended, in writing the construction of
an industrial ~anitary sewerage system and an industrial sewage
pumping station in the industrial area of South San ~rancisco,
lying,generally speak~g,in.the wi~inity of Freev,~y Street
~d South Airport Boulewrd;~d

the construction of such industrial sami~Ey spWe~age s~stem
and an industrial sewage p~ping station in said indus%rial
ares. is necessary as a health measNre;and,
Whereas thm costs of said inprovemen%,together ~%h
the expenses incidental thereto, are to be assessed upon a
district benefited thereby; and,

..~EREAS the public interest and convenience will be
served by the taking of said proceedings;
NOW,THEREFORE, IT IT IS HEREBY FOUND ,DETEP~NED, AND
ORDERED,ds follows:
1.That pursuant to the provision of Section 2~0~
of the Btreets and Highways Code of the State of California,
the investigation proceedings specified in Division $ of said
Streets and Highways Code a~ not required.
2. T~at the public interest and convenience
require that this Council undertake proceedings for the
constrUction of said improvements under special assessment
and assessment bond acts without further compliance with the
provisions of Division $ of the Streets and Highways Code.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council
of the Cit~ of South San Fr~ncisco at an adjourned meet-
ing held this 30t$ day of August,1954,by the following
vote:
